Getting back on topic,... how easy or hard do you think (from the programmer side) it is for big and small to move into IPTV? Do you think it will be similar to VOD, or do you seeing it becoming more popular like a clips store (i.e. available on mass) type thing?

It's without question not the future of adult content delivery, it won't be around in 10-15 years. But it will be another avenue for us to profit from.

I think they're both a possibility however a VOD system would definitely require a bit more integration and obviously a credits type of system...

My personal opinion is that they'll both do really well. Some people like to pay as they consume, some people like to have access to a massive vault of porn for one monthly price.

My prediction is that you'll see a few major players release their versions over the next few months with a third party developer to follow soon after offering to integrate your pay site with "their system"....

That is until the CMSs out there catch up and build that into Carma, ElevatedX, etc...

I think to really make it stick in a Boxee environment you'll need to create your own app that's branded and very well done. Once CMSs pick this up and run with it there will be a lot of generic looking implementations out there.

I expect one of the major selling points for accounts that will be accessing content via this method to be HD Content. The early adopters are generally people with higher incomes and have more expensive toys. They tell their friends, and their friends, etc... not to mention most males are always looking for a bigger/better TV and they want the content to go along with it.

I also expect this to put a serious dent in DVD sales. Why buy a DVD when you can stream everything on demand to your TV? BluRay is one reason... but now we're streaming HD content as well so... definite blow to traditional delivery mechanisms. Not necessarily in the near future, but it's coming.

I think it can be. Assuming it is open on mass versus bottle necked. Ultimately, it is just a matter of time.

My main concern for the industry on the whole is in regards to the 'controllers', or more accurately, 'gatekeepers'. Just as we are now seeing in the 'apps' for phones. Not everyone is going to spend the time and resources to develop an app..

However, at the same time you need to be available on all formats you can get on to get your chance at the sales. I think keeping up with technology will become an increasing expense to companies. Just like anyone could do a site years ago, now even that is getting more complex with new scripts.

I think the bar is being raised, and in a few more years it simply will not be as easy for everyone to keep up.

This is an excellent point which I think is widely effecting the adult industry as a whole. The big players will take the time to develop an app... and they'll get bigger. The small players won't and they'll stay small or disappear. The gap will just keep growing. Dollars are votes and to win you want to be the best candidate. Failing to keep up means you'll lose votes. However, just how many and how fast is rarely determined by the company and usually determined by how fast the rest of the industry is moving. Usually the company is standing around saying, "WTF, I'm doing everything exactly how I was last week/month/year". :2 cents:

You are going to start to see the gap getting even bigger between the mom and pops or smaller companies, and some of the bigger programs. Unless you have a 'middle man' develop like has happened in the past.

I would bet, the way things are going right now industry wide, Brazzzers is going to end up leading the way on a lot of this stuff.

Brazzers isn't leading the way in anything but legal issues and piracy, they will lucky be around in a couple years. If you want to look up to a company, then go with TopBucks, who truly leads the way in technology development and has for years, in an honest way.

I respectfully disagree here. I mentioned this earlier. These guys have been innovating and pushing forward. They are VERY aggressive... I'm not saying I agree with their methods but you can NOT say they aren't a leader.

I do agree with you though that their legal issues could bring them down faster than their climb up. It's all in how well they play the game and skirt the legal edge without being caught up in the red tape.

I assume this is because of the IPTV or Boxee? They weren't the first to jump on to this technology.

To be the leader or innovate, you need be one of the first, copied or doing something others aren't, all of which isn't copying what the others are doing, which is Brazzers.

Nothing wrong with that model... but for sure vastly differently companies that innovate and those that duplicate.

You don't have to be first to be A leader... you do to be THE leader. I think it's just coming down to semantics at this point but their bankroll speaks very well for themselves :)

Let me share some stuff...

During the CES show, people were talking about Pink Visuals augmented reality technology - at a mainstream electronics show.

The marking phrase for them is: We Innovate you Masturbate.

They are into stuff others haven't even cracked the books on, across the board... Bankroll wise, both are monsters, size does not mean you're the leader or that you innovate, that actual focus of the company does.

It's kind of a insult to think Brazzers is leading anything but illegal tubes.
