Canadians have been asking Americans that same question for decades. Let us have our 5 minutes of fun and gloating for a change, k? Thanks. :D

I think basically anytime you get a collection of people your always going to have a few assholes that take things too far, even to the point where they almost ruin it... ie riots after winning big games in some sports.

I really like the leafs and if they ever win i'm going to celebrate like no other, but at no point will i feel the need to flip over a car or start smashing store windows!--or write any 'fuck you quotes' on my facebook status either. ;)

This sums it up in a nut shell. I'm American and I live in Vancouver. I was rooting for the US, but it's not like they beat the shit out of us *cough* Russia 7-3 *cough*. They won by 1 goal in sudden death OT. No big deal.

I tower over my two older brothers and outweigh them by 20-30 lbs each, so I don't mind at all being called "little brother". :D

People really watch hockey in the US? meh Sorry, I was watching the Lakers/Nuggets as was most of Southern Cali :)

The Demon 03-01-2010 03:13 PM

Hockey is a man's sport, so I can understand why you were watching the Lakers game.

Hockey is played on ICE SKATES and ice skating is probably the biggest homo sport ever. You fail. You want a REAL man sport? Watch some football or rugby.

wasn't it just a gigantic NHL all star game anyhow? seems a lot of the players on both teams were NHL guys. made for a great game. bunch of the players on the canadian team are on us cities NHL teams. either way bomb ass game. i was on my feet for the last 5 minutes of the 3rd period when they tied it at 2 each with .24 sec left.

crazy.

LiveDose 03-01-2010 03:23 PM

Technically it was a draw... 1-1

haha

UniqueD 03-01-2010 03:27 PM

It's good that Canada won, i'm not sure you guys could take the loss, that's all you have up there.

I love the logic, homo. Because they are on skates, it's gay. Nevermind the fact that they beat the shit out of each other in ways that would give you nightmares and make you sleep with your cute little night light. Nevermind the fact that it's physically and emotionally exhausting. But I suppose you want to watch a sport where someone gets a foul for blowing on lebron James' arm.

The Demon 03-01-2010 03:35 PM

I don't know why any American would be bitter. This team gave it its best and came up short just barely against a team who on paper is better than them in every way imaginable. I'm proud of the US team, that's all.

I've seen a little bit of hockey before but this was the first full game I've ever watched and I have to say it was pretty good. All of the top 4 teams played really well and I'm kinda sad there's not another game on tonight to watch.

Congrats to Canada for the win!
