Took my oldest to see it tonight, I did not 'hate' it, but I deff did not 'love' it.

my biggest gripe about the movie is actually a bit tongue in cheek for me to say, but I'm personally getting tired with these movies that are damn near 90% CGI, (see I'm sooooo the wrong person to say that lmao)

But, for me, either do a 50/50 CGI or a 100% CGI this 90% stuff bugs the shit out of me for some reason.

Over all it was decent, BUT I did get a bit of motion sickness about 3 times in the movie (fucking hate that, I can't sit too close or it happens to me)

I'd go into a bit more but I don't want to do any sort of spoilers lol

Were you watching it in the 3d? I found when I watched Avatar there were a good 4 or 5 times during the movie where my eyes would get so crossed and out of whack I'd start getting spinny, it was just too fucking much. I had to take the glasses off for a while every now and then.

Nope, just the normal 2D version....

I normally can't watch the 3D stuff on the big screen cause of the 'spinny' issues, (Unless I'm in the very back and higher up (sort of looking down at the screen) and sadly I'd have to drive a few hours to get to a friggin theater that even has the stuff in 3D lol.

The deck was actually stacked against me for this movie, it was
Opening night, the first showing of the night, and we got there like 5 mins before the movie starts,

the fucking place was packed (and I live in a shitty small town lol) and I was stuck sitting 3 rows from the screen, normally I sit dead center middle, in the middle of the theater to not have many issues.

The funniest thing was I got the spins even before the movie started, they run local ads before the movies, and there was a stupid local car lot commercial and they shot it with some cheap handy cam, and they panned the lot so fast I literally had to cover my eyes :1orglaugh

I WILL watch this movie again just to give it another chance, like I said before I did not 'hate' it, but deff did not 'love' it, I'd really like to see the parts I had to look away from (falling, running, and a few fast panning scenery shots)

Maybe I should just say fuck it and start wearing glasses again

The movie is full of sexual and gential symbols, as when the Hatter (Depp) is with Alice in the burned forrest, you can see some piles of burned wood representing a guy layng with a hardone (very specific shape), as if he's waiting for Alice, just to mention some

I loved the scene where Alice has to get into the Red Queen's castle, the only way to do that was to walk across the water on the 'head stones' the dirty filthy pornographer in me kept waiting for one of the heads to come to life and make some sort of comment about Alice not wearing any panties lol

i saw the movie last night, loved it however i found the 3d kinda fucky. its the first 3d movie i've seen and there was one split second early into the movie where my left eye went black, it freaked me out but i guess there was a scene missing or something as i wasn't the only one who saw it. also noticed in the brighter scenes that i would see dots and occasionally a black 'worm' type thing slowing going up the screen. im not sure if i like the 3d. it really ads some cool effects but takes away from the story and there is so much to look at i found myself not able to focus on everything. i saw the imax 3d.

It wasn't filmed in 3D so I've heard lots of so-so reviews from people who saw it in 3D or IMAX. The stereoscopic 3D stuff was all added in after it was filmed. It's not true 3D like you saw in Avatar. It's the silly, stuff jumping out at you 3D that makes people sick.

I just saw it tonight with my wife and 9 year old son. This was (sadly) my first experience with 3-D in a movie theater, unless you count The Really Big 3D Show at HersheyPark's Chocolate World (which I don't). I thought the movie was good. The 3-D didn't bother me at all, and after awhile I forget I was watching it in 3-D, it just seemed so natural.

This was by far a better experience than the last movie I watched in 3D...my Blu Ray of Friday the 13th Part 3. Shit, I was amazed the glasses didn't have one blue lens and one red lens....lol.

My son got a kick out of it. He kept moving around trying to dodge shit flying at him. I should have videotaped him.

I liked the movie as it had GREAT camera work ...

I love just about everything Tim Burton & Johnny Depp put their hands on... but unfortunately Alice totally missed the mark for me.

Some awesome illustrations from Camille Rose Garcia's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland...

That 3D shit just zonked me out. Also, hard to understand all of those pretend English accents and stuff. I was snoozing.
