I don't think he was actually abusing prescription drugs. Same with MJ, the problem is they have too many doctors prescribing different shit without knowing what existing meds the person is on, thus resulting in a deadly mix. |

It is taken very seriously. How many of them went to a bunch of different doctors for pills? Doctor shopping is a huge problem. Also people need to take some personal responsibility for their actions and seek treatment. It is a pain in the ass to get a lot of prescription drugs. Most states keep a list of patients and what medications they are on. I take Xanax and they randomly make me take urine tests. It is crazy. :2 cents: |
My fav was him in Silver Bullet :)

On February 4, 2010, the Los Angeles County coroner stated that the primary cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. On February 25, 2010, the coroner released a report stating that Murphy had been taking a range of over the counter and prescription medications, with the most likely reason being to treat a cold or respiratory infection. These included "elevated levels" of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, L-methamphetamine and chlorpheniramine. All of the drugs were legal and the death was ruled to be an accident, but the report observed: "the possible adverse physiological effects of elevated levels of these medications cannot be discounted, especially in her weakened state" |
RIP Corey Haim. Say "no" to hard drugs.

The fact that it was a secondary cause of death does not take away from my point. Its likely her illness killed her because her immune system was weakened by the meds addiction. Although i'm flattered by all the attention you give me, you really don't impress me. I don't think your very smart. |
Corey was at his best with "The Lost Boys"..... RIP
|
overdose, that sucks :(
|
Aw, that's sad to hear. He always seemed to struggle along.
|
That's really sad, even though it seemed almost inevitable. :(
Lost Boys was my favorite film as a kid. Played that tape so many times. RIP Corey |
