It really depends on the person. Everyone of my family members and close friends knows, only time I give someone the run around is if its a super religious person. Then I just say I'm a web developer / internet marketing. Usually they leave it alone at that point.

my wife and 1 sister know.... for the rest i just tell them i am a blogger :)

Internet marketing and database optimization are the first things I say.

Natalie & I run a production company. To grandparents and some other family members we do not mention its adult. At least this way its not lying. Its a little hard to beat around the bush when people ask your email address or when your dealing with anything mentioning your business. :winkwink:

I use to say "website stuff" or "I build websites". Then I keep getting every idiot who wants me to build them a website and think it's so easy and only want to spend $100. Got tired of the "how much to build a website?" questions, when they don't even understand; design, programming, hosting, marketing, etc. Or I get the occasional "I want to start something like youtube." then I tell them, do you have $8 million in venture funding like youtube did?"

Now I just say online marketing or media buys.

"I am the sales director for a company that creates mobile applications and mobile websites for other companies."

to the ones I trust I just tell the truth, other random people I only say.. I work with computers...

At one point I built a few sites that sold non-adult products, this is what I gave to random people. LOL.

I tell them I'm living the dream.

I tell them I produce Adult Material..... unless it's one of those "drama queens", then I tell her "I fuck drama queens for a living". Most don't believe me till they ask the general manager of the club I hang out at, and he just tells them "without lube!"
