He has done a big part of what he said he would do... change wise, his changes are so extreme the right base thinks he is a marxist, socialist, liberal, and satan.

Other than the wars, I truly can't see what the democrat/left base could possible want him to do more of in the short amount of time he has been in.

Truly, I don't think Americans think that, the right thinks that. I live in a very liberal area in a very red state, support here for Obama is bigger than ever - however so is the hate from the right media, which fires up the people.

I know many people that voted for him, not all registered democrats. None of them though, are upset at him for anything he has done - other than maybe not pulling out of the wars. I live in Ron Paul country, so sometimes I don't have a handle on what other side is thinking. Because everyone person I know that makes over 200k that voted for Obama said the wont be voting for the D's in 2010 or Obama in 2012.

Still a bit far away to be making predictions on 2012 but I think Obama may be in trouble. A lot safe D states are losing electoral votes and a lot of safe R states are gaining. Then, Im guessing, the southern swing states will go to the R's.

Well the bill could have been so much easier if it said "100% tax rebate on all health insurance" with no mandates and no IRS involved. I would have supported that bill 100%.

Truly, I only expected something for kids and maybe more for the retired.. in my eyes, what he was 'able' to get passed, was amazing.

Americans won't die waiting... any American can go get help, right now, without dieing. I think the 2014 is so we can start paying for it... we don't have any money right now and him getting a national tax increase to pay for it, would be like trying to freeze hell over.

I can understand why he is checking into it... gays do not have an easy life in the military and 'change' for ocd military boys, isn't easy.

there was a time when blacks faced challenges in the military too (yes I know you know this..dark green and light green and all that heh heh) I think that gay service members should get the chance to face the challenges as well and that the military should handle any discriminatory behavior against them the same way they handle racial stuff.

As for getting help... I am uninsured, I also require surgery on both my eyes to keep me from going completely blind, I am already blind in my left eye, the health care bill was not and is not an intellectual issue for me, it is deeply personal.

When I see that every single one of his appointments were held up with parliamentary procedures I must be forgiven for my biased that he has been until very recently, very ineffectual
