Actually, Larry David is the king.

Seinfeld and the Larry David show are two of the funniest sitcoms ever.

Most sitcoms are, yet they still edit the laughs in the studio afterwards.

Then the question is why do they?

Don't they realise that if it's funny people will laugh and they don't need to be told when to?

Years ago before adult my management duties required me to negotiate a yearly compensation package for a highly valued employee. He was negotiating from a position of strength, thinking he brought us the best clients and made the company the most amount of money. He walked in, sat down, and was quick tell me he wanted a 100% raise to stay on board.

Imagine his surprise when I told him that wasn't possible, and that he had to take a huge pay cut to stay on board. I explained to him that he hadn't brought in any new clients in the past six months, and the past clients he was maintaining us - which were locked into long term contracts - were making us less and less money every month. In short, we no longer needed him.

He accepted the offer, but left with tears in his eyes.

Someone needs to do the same to Charlie here.

Studies show the opposite. People laugh more when they are with other people laughing. I know that I do, I'm sure you do. A lot of people watch TV by themselves.

Got to agree with you. Just watched some previews on Youtube. Limp jokes and canned laughter, I don't need to be told when to laugh. I thought it was in front of a live a audience.

You haver to watch more than just some youtube clips to get the show. It's pretty funny, much better than any other shitty sitcom these days. Except for Big Bang Theory, which is by the same writers.

Its some technical stuff, I don't remember it anymore. But they add the laughs on the parts where the real laughs were. Its just made for the sound to be good enough on TV, I guess, the dialogues clear enough.

difference is you can replace an employee.. 2 and half men is a hit show.. they CANT replace charlie with someone else... see the problem here?

. charlie makes 2 and half men, so they have to pay him, or bye bye show... and its a very profitable show.. everyone i know loves that show

8.9/10 OUT OF 8000+ Votes..

Vegas Ken 04-02-2010 12:40 PM

I bet he gets the 1.5 :)

GatorB 04-02-2010 12:44 PM

Sheen should consider himself lucky that he had ashow like this to get his career back on track because in the previous 10 years he had done NOTHING except make the news for drugs, fucking prositutes and dating Ginger Lynn.

SomeCreep 04-02-2010 12:46 PM

Well if you figure he's making Warner Bros $10M+ in revenue per episode, then they should be happy to only have to pay him $1.5M.

You should know that revenue does NOT = profit

Persius 04-02-2010 01:55 PM

fatfoo 04-02-2010 03:13 PM

$1.5 Million - sure sounds like a big number.

Good luck to Charlie Sheen and his rehab and potential jail sentence issues.

VeriSexy 04-02-2010 03:21 PM

They'll probably settle half way 1.25m

Yup, I think so too.

Loch 04-02-2010 03:47 PM

1,5 Mill is nothing compared to what he will be racking in on syndication deals over the next 10-20 years.
That is unless he was a complete idiot and dident get any ownership in the show.
Or profit sharing

dyna mo 04-02-2010 04:04 PM

i'd wager this is all propaganda manufactured by the network to get some killer marketing.

hat's off!

MaDalton 04-02-2010 05:00 PM

saw his father at the mission palms one day after the forum a couple of years ago btw - derek was still with mr. skin at that time, i think he took some pics

Darrah 04-02-2010 05:38 PM

What a cunt he is. Only The cast of Friends & Seinfeld got that. His show isn't in the same league. And how much is Jon Cryer getting paid if Sheen is asking for that? He needs the extra cash to buy more drugs and pay for more prostitutes which he's still doing even AFTER being arrested for beating his wife.

But there were 6 Friends, so 6 x 1mil = 6mil. Charlie makes almost as a good show alone.

Farang 04-03-2010 02:54 AM

Making millions, doing drugs and fucking hookers - the guy is great. WB pay the man his money.

[ Nate ] 04-03-2010 09:01 AM

I wish I could seriously ask for 1.5 million for something.

TyroneGoldberg 04-03-2010 04:39 PM

lawyers fees are not a drop in the bucket.

Storm_Tracker 04-03-2010 07:33 PM
