And there's no way I'm going to argue with you about wars because you probably think they were all legitimate to begin with, just like the wars we're in now. |

Firing on wounded and people trying to help the wounded is against the geneva convention, which is signed and ratified by the US. Besides, there are no guns to start with, they clearly mistake the camera equipment for weapons.

I'm not sure what brainwashed Obama cock lickers like yourself call American troops gunning down reporters and civilians in cold blood, but where I come from that makes you the bad guy. Just because the murders wear a US flag on their uniform, it does not make it OK. Civilians are not target practice. |

Ha how bout you pissed off, I do not get any of my info from CNN, care to make any more assumptions about me? |

That video made me sick. It's horrifying to see how desensitized the soldiers are to killing people. It's like they think it's some kind of video game being up there untouchable in their plane. Talking like robots about taking real human lives.
But I guess to most Americans they are not as human, and their lives are not worth much. |

Those "freedom fighters" aren't being supported by the majority of their population, so I'm not sure what your point is. The majority of the world wants radical Islam out of the midlde east. And it's clear you know nothing on Vietnam, but continue your "ladyboy" career, rofl. |
I understand that being at war is pretty tough, that there're insurgents among local people, that a soldier in Iraq must watch his evere step... but shooting clearly unarmed people off the air, and then finish them off, and then kill over people who came to help... its SICK...I wonder if those chopper gunmen sleep well...

We shouldn't be over there... period...

Wonder how the patriot idiots here would react if it was iraquis doing that to americans,,,,, After all, Americans were all outraged at 5 captured soldiers being detained for a few days .. then released. |

For those of you saying ... "following orders like a good little robot" ... or some such.
First, I'm not justifying his actions... BUT... You have to realize that to disobey a director order from a superior commissioned officer in a combat zone means death... They have the legal authority to shoot you in the face immediately... Just sayin' |

As far as following orders, there are lots of soldiers who refuse their tours altogether. |

You guys (not you directfiesta) have to remember, all of this is happening because of a lie we were all told about Iraq having Weapons Of Mass Destruction, which to this day were never found and never will be. All of the killing, murder of civilians, loss of foreign troops and expense is happening because of a lie. Because of that lie Iraq fell apart. You can not strong arm democracy simply because you think it's the better way. It is total chaos now and innocent people are dying daily because of this lie. This is an illegal war and everyone with a brain knows it. People die in war, that's what happens but we should not be there in the first place. The people gunned down in that video were civilians and the act was wrong on every level. May the murders be shot down from the sky and torn apart in the streets by an angry mob. That would be a fitting justice. |
I don't know why you guys reply to the troll "The Demon". Guys like him get off trolling people. This is what he lives for. He is a LOSER with no life..

Ignoring the political trolling as I'm not American so most of it goes over my head anyway and I'm in a country that has done it's fair share of interfering around the world historically.
Watching the video with an open mind rather than being sucked in by the whole presentation about it being the American forces deliberately murdering reporters it is not hard to see how the helicopter crew mistook the cameras with their huge lenses for RPGs. It is very easy to be critical afterwards when you have different info to what the helicopter crew thought they were seeing. Sounds callous with the benefit of hindsight altering the situation but as they don't really want to die a fiery death in a burning helicopter carcass or ignore what they can see and fly away only to find out 4 soldiers in a Humvee died the same fiery death an hour later their only option was to destroy what appeared to be a group of people with 2 RPGs and seeing as one of the cameramen was poking his nose around the end of a wall in the same way that someone looking for a target would it didn't exactly help. Carrying on and doing the van with apparent Good Samaritans is only finishing off the job once starting. Although it is easy to empathise with the man trying to crawl away needing help I think it's fucking stupid for anyone to risk their own kids by turning up with them to clear up after something like this has happened. Hardly a complete cover-up either. Troops on the ground turn up, find wounded civillians and start getting them to a hospital. Anyone doing a proper whitewash of the situation would have had the ground troops finish off the wounded and the video destroyed. |

They opened fire on that after barely making an excuse about the presence of weapons, and got the ok to fire by claiming the van was picking up bodies. considering what the military has told the media about this incident, there is more than enough evidence here for a 'wtf' moment on what isn't being shown the 37 minute one shows a building being hit with a hellfire missile with someone casually walking by and getting vaporized. they simply don't care |
reminded me off this

ps - we're coming for you... :2 cents: |
America shoots first and asks questions later. That's all there is to say. Right or wrong, who knows? The standard stays the same. Kill everything in sight, and if it turns out you were wrong, just sweep it under the rug.
I can understand why they opened fire here, and I'm not gonna do too much crying for these Iraqis, btu at the same time don't come stuffing the pictures of dead American soldiers in my face crying over the loss. Had an RPG blown that chopper and every soldier in it straight to hell, it would have been just as justified. :2 cents: |

They opened fire on the van which did appear to have just turned up to clear up the mess. However I have no idea whether there has been a similar situation previously where the tidier-uppers tidied up and then picked up and used the RPGs the helicopter crew thought they saw which would make them extra jumpy. Of course the military doesn't tell the media everything. The media participate in things so that they can get stories out first but they are also used by the military to both present things in a good light to the public at home and to make up misleading shit to confuse the enemy. [this is where I should be posting the pic of that Iraqi Minister saying everything was fine and the Americans were running away but I've forgotten his name] Haven't seen the 37 minute video you refer to. |

and, of course, see that they were collecting a wounded reporter and not in fact touching any bodies, or had any weapons |
