I can confirm her condition has improved. I spoke with her nurse and mother yesterday. Tabitha's mom is hoping she can be flown back to Toronto in a week.

She has made some progress but has a long road ahead of her. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Prayers are NOT meaningless. They also aren't necessarily religious. They're a concentration of thought and energy. Get enough positive energy and thought rolling you start to manifest what it is you're praying for. If this bothers you have the class to keep your mouth shut about it around others who are using it constructively to help another human being.

I have a friend of mine who has "water on the brain". While he's never been through something like this, he's had constant pressure on his brain to the point where it's knocked him out for days at a time. He's partially retarded now. I pray she doesn't have to go through this.

I guess we can all just hope for the best.

Here's option B for you: Praying brings people comfort. When you put it down you're shitting on them. Is it really too much to ask to let people comfort themselves and each other without opening up your fat yap and putting it down?

I'm so sorry to hear that. I have a friend who also suffers from this condition but she has had really good luck throughout her life with the stints they put in. Once every 3-5 years there is an issue that puts her in the hospital where they need maintanence / adjustments, but nothing that has had any permanent effect. I've always felt very bad for her having to go through that so often, but hearing this puts it in perspective. My condolences for your friend and his fam.
