Anything with a former SNL cast member after 1992.

The other day I tried to watch The Moon with Sam Rockwell.

Fell asleep.

Tried again.

Fell asleep again.

Watched the last 15 minutes and still have no idea what was going on :(

I'm tired and it sucked :)

Watch it again when you're not tired and pay attention. It's a great movie -- but Bruce Willis isn't going to pop out and blow something up.

the correct answer is all of them! I wouldn't even say 99%... i'd say like 99.6% at least...

Some reasons:

1. Directors, they do one or two good pieces of work and get hailed as geniuses the rest of their careers and the sheep keep eating it up...

2. Writers, there are only 1 or 2. The rest are shit peddlers who movie execs pick based on marketability of the subject matter/product placement opportunities created.

3. DVD's. Peoples dvd fetishes and drive to own every single movie possible, whether bad or not, drives the market strong so they can afford to make more shit in a perpetual lossless machine that makes movies like leprechaun 4: leprechaun in space a money maker.

4. Devlin and Emmerich. Two producers who keep making worse and worse movies yet keep making hundreds of millions for it. I'm pretty sure they started the movie 'machine' and inspired this past decades miserable theatre showings...Machine being: spend all prior budget on good teaser trailer, spend the rest of the money on likeable actors from the decades past who need the money and hire the guy who normally sweeps the floors on the sets to write the script. Print!

It's my fault for not watching it through. Movie time for me is about midnight and I lay down to watch so a sleeper puts me to sleep :)

Tried again the next afternoon before having to return the disc and still didn't see it all. I'm pretty sure I won't rent it again.

I don't want to spoil it for others that haven't seen it yet but if you want to spill the beans
and tell me WTF was going on it's ok by me. I couldn't tell if he was dreaming or had been cloned or was hallucinating or what. Don't know why he was trying to escape either :upsidedow

100 Feet - great premise, absolute garbage of a movie...

any torture movie that isn't Hostel part 1 or a Saw movie...

Adventureland - I expected so much more with the cast of this movie...I couldn't find a single character in the movie to give a shit about...boring, wandered forever and only a handful of chuckles for a movie that looked funny in the previews...

i'll tell you...anyone that hasn't seen it might want to skip this post.

SPOILER

Basically the whole operation was run by clones in shifts of a few years. The movie was about two of the clones criss-crossing when something gets fucked up, and trying to figure out what's going on, then realizing they're not who they thought they were.

So the movie was more about the philosophical questions of what really is human -- more than anything. The plot was kind of secondary.

But it's definitely something you have to give a chance and take in the entire thing. Just sitting there waiting for something exciting to happen will end in disappointment.
