There are a lot of Republicans who jumped on the Tea Party bandwagon and it's perfectly fair to ask where they were during Bush's reign.

BUT ... a lot of them are independents and libertarians who loathed Bush and the two party system. Many of them are Ron Paul supporters and when he lost the Republican primaries began organizing events that were inevitably going to attract Republicans who are more "anti-democrat" than pro-something.

It's not really fair to generalize any group... and personally I'm far more interested in what their movement is for than what they are against.

It may work out that way, but I think what will happen as they get more organized, they will post targets and get the word out , well, they are already doing that, for now they are targeting weak candidates like Reid, so we'll see, Reid has a shit load of money for advertising and we all know that can swing the vote. When Obama got voted in, it was with a lot of independents and they are a big part of the Tea Party, so if nothing else, it's going to make it very interesting.
I was reading about Cap and Trade today, there are some scary shit in that. The EPA will have control over if you can sell your house or not according to some sources based on if your house meets current standards of efficiency, still reading it to figure out where they got that.

That's because the people bitching are smarter than you, the top earners are the employers that provide the jobs for the ones under the 50% level. If they get taxed more for things like universal heath-care lets say, that means more they have to pay out for every employee, so the less employee's they employ, the less taxes they have to pay, not good for our country!

BTW, those making 25k are paying nothing, most all taxes now are being paid by those in the top 50%. So in this country, the harder you try, the more the US will tax you, and if you're an employer, you will look even harder to reduce your expenditures.

Here's an idea, let the rich pay only 10% tax and then regulate their business so
they can't gouge us; then see how fast they want the old system back.

You can tax the rich and fix what they don't care about or you can let them run crazy
until the poor rise up and kill them all like it happened in every other country that
allowed the rich to run wild.

The best way to teach people about letting the rich run crazy is to let the rich buy
all the lakes, rivers, ponds, etc and leave people to survive off rain unless they can
pay $5k a month for a facet. Only then will the dumb motherfuckers wake up.
(yes, somebody will dig a well. But they will die from toxins leaked into the ground

Further more, rich people should pay more because they use more resources.

- operating a fleet of tractor trailer trucks blowing black smoke and cluttering highways
- watering 10 acres of front and back yard grass with city water
- Committing crimes that cost $5 million to prosecute
- dumping toxic waste on the ground
- owning food establishments that need to be inspected

- lobbying congress about their import tariffs/NAFTA/etc...

- and finally, not a single poor mother fucker got a bailout with all this tax money
