Directories with this kind of structure, (the more link..) have the benefit of kiting on the submitters keywords as each and every site submitted has a dedicated page SEO for the submitters keywords.
IE. Submitter submits url with title "Joe Blows Lost Porn DVDS Found".... directory creates page titled "Joe Blows Lost Porn DVDS Found" and lands in serps for this term and thereby becomes a direct competitor for the term, providing little to no benefit to the submitter, since it was traffic belonging to the submitter to begin with, the directory just kited it away from the submitter to the directory, and MAYBE the user will click thru to the site he originally wanted instead of something else on the directory. |
