Did you know it is a reworking of a British show? Then so it Threes Company (nearly word for word scripts), Sanford and Son and even Who's The Boss.

Yup... "til death do us part" I think is the original UK series.

Most great US shows originated in the UK ;)

This is actually an easy one for me. For years now, me and my girlfriend have watched "Friends" over and over again. We never seem to get sick of it.

We of course have the complete Series 1 - 10 boxset, but still find ourselves watching it when it's on tv (usually 2 episodes on E4).

Right this very second I'm obsessed with Weeds (I just discovered it though I know it's been around a while) ... but of all time ... maybe Stark Trek DS9.

Elli 04-26-2010 01:59 PM

Ooo good question. I don't have one stand out favourite, but there are some I can sit down and watch again and again:

The Office (BBC)
Mad Men
MASH
Married With Children
All in the Family
Band of Brothers
The F Word
River Cottage (any season)

Homicide: Life on The Street
&
Six Feet Under

chupachups 05-09-2010 11:47 AM

For those who havent seen them, see

"THE PRISONER"

The original from 1969. A TRUE masterpiece

And lars von triers

RIGET (the kingdom)

oh and of course:
hill street
homicide life on the streets
seinfeld
cracker
and lots more

quiet 05-09-2010 11:51 AM

Seinfeld

I had to think about it, but I think Six Feet Under if I had to pick just one.

Carnivale's first season was amazing. I wish it would have picked up enough of an audience to have kept going at the same pace.

Others I've loved are Arrested Development, Chapelle Show, Unsolved Mysteries, Columbo.

I'm really suprised no one said Sopranos.

Survivor :thumbsup

Awesome season. Down to 6.

Pavarti vs Russell. :) (27 y/o charmer vs 36 y/o millionaire from Houston)

Pavarti who won it all before is a very good player with "charms". :)

Russell otoh makes Johnny Fairplay look like a Boy Scout and is as ruthless as anyone to ever play the game. Russell and Pavarti have had an alliance up until (it looks like) next week.

Should be fun. Finale prob be a week from today.

Hmmmm. That's a tough one. I do not know about 'all time'. Some that come to mind....

24
Law & Order
CSI Miami

I can typically watch those over and over again when nothing else on.

Semi-Retired-Dave 05-09-2010 09:31 PM

Married with Children was one of them, As kids we loved Dukes of Hazard, and Chips.

fatfoo 05-09-2010 09:39 PM

The Red Dwarf is actually a star of some kind. The sun is a star and other stars also exist in the universe.

lazzlo 05-09-2010 09:40 PM

Teh Office!

dready 05-09-2010 09:51 PM

'The Prisoner' by a long shot.

Calico Jack 05-09-2010 11:34 PM

If you ignore a couple story lines there is no shame in liking Buffy. It may have looked a bit light at the time but all the shows that have tried to capture the same audience and have failed show how well it was done.

Yep, South fucking Park. Then probably Whose Line Is It Anyways, then Star Trek TNG, then Dexter, then Family Guy, then Seinfeld, then Hell's Kitchen...not sure what after that.

I saw the mini-series with Ian McKellen. It was fun to watch, but I wasn't especially impressed. I didn't know they were going to make it a series. I'll definitely watch!

Probably the only thing that lets me down about spending time in Canada. I meet more Kids in the Hall fans down here in the States. WTF guys, it's your show!

Sarah_Jayne 05-10-2010 12:58 PM

I was just introducing a British friend to Kids In the Hall. Love them.
