It's a simple concept. Do work. Send invoice. Get paid. In the end, I hope it was worth it. It's going to cost him a lot more than $150.00. |

Wow, I've not seen a horse beaten this badly after death in a long time. Shall I bring my machete? I think we could make some horse steaks.

Lawyer wise... they won't entertain it, the story makes no difference. |
Fuck it, I'm calling my lawyer too!

This guy questioned him and he doesn't like that. So now he's just going to do whatever he can to deflect and not pay this guy. You know what he's doing. I know what he's doing. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing. |
My lawyer told me...oh wait, I don't have one. :)

lawyer will tell "Pay the man"

Beyond that, I am not going to say anything else. I am simply going to gather up the information, and history, and turn it all over in the morning. |

Great example of why right here... |
He should've just stopped fucking with everyone else over the issue once it got too hot. Instead, he keeps bumping threads and threatening everyone else. He could've continued handling business as usual but no, he wants to keep it going.

see sig please

If your lawyer is any good he will tell you this is stupid and when you lose you're going to have to pay the other lawyers fees and probably court costs, then he's probably going to tell you to pay the man and then take $200-300 off the retainer for you wasting his time. |
Quote:
That's how you make things go away.... as you can see by this thread, being stubborn and not paying is biting you in the ass. |
You got the same lawyer as pr0 I assume.

If you really wanted to get paid, and you had that many different options to get a hold of someone, don't you think you would have simply made the effort to be paid? I mean really? In the end, I told him I did not want his code but would pay him anyway to get him to piss off. That also was posted publicly. He never made an effort. This has probably gone 3, 4, 5 rounds now. I have repeatedly, and publicly, offered to pay him. On your other points, I agree with you completely. You're right. |

"Paying him, makes this all go away" If you paid him, posted the proof of that - everyone would be hamming him instead of you, but because you didn't - it's here, now... it's very very very simple logic. I would swallow my pride here and pay up, speaking from personal experience. |
you prolly forgot this:
What goes around, comes around :2 cents: |
Some business owners do not pay an invoice if there is no invoice to pay. It's plain and simple record keeping. No invoice, no pay. Pretty simple, IMO.

It's because people do not get you the invoices once you pay them. I have had this issue with many over the years, which is why I now do it this way to make sure I get my docs for taxes. That said, this guy could have contacted me any number of ways to be paid. I have yet to receive any EMAIL/IM/PM/PHONE CALL from him. Hell, he could have posted it ON THE FORUM and it would have been paid immediately. |
Damn, lol :1orglaugh
an easy solution would of been to send paypal.. Win Win for everybody. coder gets paid.. barefootsies gets invoice from paypal... But no, that would of been far less entertaining. |

Agreed....I tend not to pay without an invoice, I have no issues forcing people to send me an invoice. I do sometimes make acceptations... like one guy couldn't email me, tried from several accounts - so I just paid him. Now, if someone took something like this to the boards, being that I own my own company, I can bend the rules to end the situation when I know who to pay. This is round two of the issue... it could have been solved on round one. End of the day... I can print the job emails as my invoice and hand write who I paid on it, that's still a legal invoice. |
Quote:
Nor could he send it to my company's email, or the email he was literally blowing up for a week and a half, nor did he PM me through IQ69's mail system, nor has he provided an invoice on the forum or a way to pay him. I guess all those were blocked also. :upsidedow |
Quote:
It was repeatedly asked for along with invoice, publicly on forum! |
Quote:
You could pay him right now and end this thread.... but it's going to continue on for several pages I would guess for several days - simply because you won't pay him. |
Quote:
You first stopped responding to all IM messages, then you seem to have blocked me 100%. PM, yes I guess I could have. What should I have said to you? You called me from an anonymous #, not sure how to call you back. Here is your invoice, zkonsult. com/footsies.pdf - You will have to recreate the URL since I do not have 30 posts yet. Richard |

As for the lawyer reference. It has nothing to do with this payment. That is a separate well documented history with this guy that goes beyond this. |

Footsies, thank you for your payment. Best of luck to you and your business; I will stop thread crapping on your posts and bring up the fact your bill with me is now $0 on the other forums we both do business on. Richard |
