Same here. It will be pretty badass!!

But if Sprint had the Iphone, i would have it.

But i have a feeling when i go HTC, i will never look back.:2 cents:

I'm on Sprint and a long time Apple user. I wouldn't touch the iPhone if it was on Sprint...not with the EVO about to be released. Even the leaked 4th Gen iPhone didn't have the specs the EVO has.

HTC Hero runs great! I had to download a task killer so I could not have all the background garbage and extra proggies running, though. Without that, it runs slow because it likes to have 40 things going at once.

I've gotten rid of my 2 iPhones and switched to a Motorola Droid in the US and a Motorola Milestone in Canada ( same phone , one's gsm so different name ), The iPhone is like a fisher price toy compared to the Droid. The google navigation is one of the easiest GPS i've ever used , it's faster then the Iphone and the browser kills the iPhone's. It's like a mini laptop . Touch screens are a fad , they suck , the slide out keyboard is the only way to go.

Anybody noticed the difference how the touch interface works more smoothly in Iphone then Android or its me only?

mgtarheels 05-19-2010 01:17 PM

Ive a Motorola Droid and am happy with it.

KillerK 05-19-2010 02:41 PM

If you have AT&T get a iPhone, if you don't then get a Droid.

Myself I want google involved in my shit less and less.

Maybe running an old ROM. The G1 shipped with 1.5 I believe, and Android is on 2.1 now.

Like I said, I've got both iPhone and Android. I see no difference in graphic smoothness.

candyflip 05-19-2010 05:52 PM

Accuracy and smoothness aren't the same thing :winkwink:

CYF 05-19-2010 05:59 PM

I prefer android over the iphone :thumbsup

ShellyCrash 05-19-2010 08:53 PM

For me, my primary use for the phone is work. I also personally use alot of google products like gmail and so forth so I'm pro android.

I do alot of typing, so I love the keyboard on the G1. I am very dissapointed they won't be keeping with the qwerty design :(

Swipe app seems helpful down the road when I might be forced to convert to full touch screen, but I can't get the same speed as with the keyboard.

I do hear you about the touch screen accuracy w/ the G1, I use the trackball more and more often when on the web. I am fairly certain this is a G1 drawback, not an issue with newer droid based phones.

You know what i mean. You touch the iphone it reacts instantly and precise, android may not be that precise and responsive.
