I know that I did 3 months in La Mesa Prison, and Calderon doesn't even need to step outside of his own country to see gross human rights violations.

3 months in a cell, 7 days per week, with 28 guys. We had 2 sets of bunk beds that stacked 3 beds high. About 2 feet wide, barely enough for a single person, yet we had to stack 2 per bunk! I spent $20/week for the privilege of not sleeping on the crowded floor with the rats; but in a bed with another Mexican and thousands of cockroaches. You'd wake up with them crawling on your body, and couldn't do fuck about it. Our cell was 10ftx10ft, that's 3.57 square feet of space per person. Of course we had our bathroom/shower/sink which occupied about 20 square feet of space; so now we are down to 2.8 square feet of living space per person.

You consider that humane???

Or how about the time the guards beat the shit out of a prisoner at the courthouse because he wouldn't tell them where he hid his cell phone? (I had my own cell in prison, contraband was massive and they always tried to sell me shit first since I got cash regularly) Yea; it was either get my ass handed to me with the butts of some guns or tell them. Let's just say my next 2 days in prison I didn't sleep at all because I thought I might be branded a rat.

I love Mexico, but fuck you and your anti-American ranting. There is no human rights in Mexico, let alone tasers which are supposed to only knock you out.

Let's see how well you keep your cool when someone steals your car, gropes your girlfriend, or tries to beat the shit out of you.

1. I have no intention of spending my time anywhere as a prisoner. If the conditions are horrible, you should have considered that before doing whatever it was that got you locked up. Your crime nor their prison conditions are my fault. Take responsibility for yourself and direct your anger toward your own errors. I didn't put you there.

2. I never ranted "anti-American" anything, anywhere. Saying I "love Mexico" does not mean I am anti-American. I love Germany and Spain also. Does that make me a Nazi now too? "Patriotism" is a manipulation tool.

Fuck that prick, Mexico's immigration laws are 25 times more strict than ours. That piece of shit has no right to talk about a law that will save lives in Arizona.

This is strange.... You (correctly) hold him personally responsible for what happened to him when he broke the law.... but for some reason you do not hold an illegal alien personally responsible for what happened to him when HE broke the law...

I'm confused.

and those that don't pay taxes. They are good peoplez.

Rochard 06-09-2010 07:51 AM

I fail to see how this is connected to the law.

The law simply says "if police believe anyone they come into contact with is here illegally, the must look into it". It's really no fucking different then the concept of "If I pull someone over for speeding and I smell pot or booze, I must look into it further".

A woman was pulled over in Phoenix a few months ago; It's been all over the news. She's a student, and her student visa has long since expired. I don't get this. Setting aside the fact that she is here in the country illegally, she's driving without a license, without insurance, and in a car that is not legally registered. If I do this, I go to to jail.

I'm sorry the kid was shot. But, that's what you get when your rolling with a pack of people who throw rocks at police officers. Period.

I hold the illegal alien personally responsible for his crimes too.

The difference is one was murdered for his crime and one was locked up properly.
I also hold the police responsible when they commit crimes. Why do you not?

To all the haters: If you think shit is better someplace else, MOVE THE FUCK OVER THERE!
We don't want you.

My 2 cents..

The police report reflects the story of the police, not the truth. The California medical examiner has already ruled this a homicide.

Again I ask, how come when the police commit crimes, you give them a free pass?

Okay, That's not really a reason, but for a moment let's just say fine, if you cross the border illegally, there is a chance the Border Patrol may kill you. What about all the other police crimes? Don't you feel they should be held accountable like everyone else?

Why, when a cop shoots and kills an unarmed person in the back, (or someone sleeping), do some people immediately say retarded things like, "Oh, well they have a hard job, it's okay".... "Those are the breaks"....

I'm not talking about "mistakes". Everyone makes mistakes. I'm specifically talking about straight up murder and other crimes and corruption of the authorities. I've posted many real-life examples this week of crimes committed by the police in the last recent months, and yet it's still, "Oh well they have a hard job".

Interesting...

So, how did that work then? Did Mexico lock up everyone in the country, sort through them to find the innocent ones, and those are the people loose on the streets down there now? If you go on vacation, do you fly in to a prison camp first? They all started from jail?

Really?

yeah well some will be punished. but some have friends in high places.

Tom_PM 06-09-2010 08:58 AM

I do feel that it's important to have seperation of powers. Legislative, to make the laws. Executive, to enforce the laws. Judicial, to interpret the law.

It's strange that police are almost a pseudo branch. We dont really think of them as part of any of those three, but they play a role AS IF they are all three at times. Thats when it goes wrong.

All you can really do is remember to vote, and dont just pick some name you recognize. If you feel your police is bad, elect a new mayor I guess. Propose laws and such.

And there it is folks.

You see, if people... you know, the public... started holding these police accountable for their crimes, there would probably be less police crime. As it is, every single law enforcement officer out there knows no matter what he does... even murder... there is a 100% chance of being backed up by other police, and a 99.9% chance of getting completely away with it, just because they are cops.

Start putting some of these criminals wearing the badge in real prison, and police crime will go down. And for the life of me, I cannot understand why you wouldn't be doing that already, especially if you support the police. Why would you or anyone else want some murdering cop tarnishing the image of the authorities?

I'll bet you whined like a typical negro when Rodney King got his ass kicked by the police. You just think this is okay because they guy was a Mexican.

Good, he was here ILLEGALLY in the first place AND tried to resist. I have no tolerance for these idiots. We've got enough of them in our own town and they do nothing but cause trouble.

"Locked up properly"?? You don't hold the Mexican prison authorities responsible when the conditions in their jails are sub human, and certainly well below any international standards?

Actually, what that means is if you are suspected and arrested for a crime, it is up the defendent to prove innocence, not the other way around. It's actually not THAT uncommon in the world.

I'm not trying to be a voice for Mexico in any way.
I'm trying to open people's eyes to the fact that police all over the country (the US) are committing blatant crimes and getting away with it. We should all expect more from our law enforcement and officials in a position of public trust.

What disturbs me is that due to pure apathy on the part of some of the public, the police most often get a 100% free pass on their crimes and are even cheered and encouraged to go out and kill more people. When facts are presented on a case that cannot be refuted in any way... like cases where it actually went to trial... police are given stacked juries, or kush accommodations for their very short sentences.

It is ludicrous hypocrisy to take a stand of, "fully support the police", condemn criminals, yet allow police-criminals to do as they please. It shows that there is no real respect for the law... it's all just smoke and bullshit and blind uninformed support for an agency rife with corruption and good-'ol-boy policies. If you support the law at all, the crimes committed by police officers should be completely appalling to you.
