Special situations today... normally you have be born before 1975. My dad can claim citizenship in the UK because he was born in the UK, however he's only a U.S. Citizen. He didn't become a UK citizen simply because he was born in the UK, but because he was born before 1975 he can request it.

Mexico has 2 different categories - mexican citizens and mexican nationals.

I know one guy that served in Afghanistan and went on to serve with some bad ass Rangers. When he was 9 month old, he was adopted by American parents from Columbia. Army found out and made him renounce his Columbian citizenship. he has never been to Columbia or ever held Columbian passport BUT he was a dual citizen.

I get plenty of Countries and history of changes when I do my research... Hell even a simple search like: dual citizenship and 1975 returns various Countries of current time that have this set, looks like Canada recently updated to0.
