Pretty bad when you look at it that way

You've got it around back to front. It's because people have a 5 second attention span and can only concentrate on what's in front of them that the current president will attract more than he should with hindsight. Clinton easily would have gotten 20-30% votes if this was taken in the 90's, have you forgotten all the supposed murders, bad property deals etc half the yahoos were complaining about? Even Bush will probably go down to 40-50% after 2 years of the next president and all their failures are fresh in people's minds and the attack machines of the opposite side of politics is mid-scream.

Then of course there is hagiography. Kennedy has 0 votes. That bullet basically gave him a halo, 6 more months and he would have been impeached for fucking anything with a warm hole including the communist flavoured kind, not to mention Bay of Pigs and organised crime links etc. And don't get me started on Reagan, Savings and Loan, Iran Contra, and deficit spending every republican or tea party fan here would be calling treason if he were a Dem, how they polished that turd in the past decade has been a study in successful propaganda. Repubs in their 20's probably don't remember when he was a joke.
It is getting harder to compare presidents though.. I mean how would Eisenhower fare these days? He'd get called a socialist 24/7 from his own party and Fox for continuing the New Deal and 5 million Alex Jones listeners would have daily blogs covering his military takeover and the imminent collection of people to be put into forced labour camps to work on his highway program, which is really a NAU link from Mexico to Canada ordered by his NWO masters. The aperture, volume, intensity, lies and inanity of public discourse has increased exponentially for better and worse.

Damn, Obama hasn't been in office for 2 years and he's almost halfway to Bush in these porn ratings. That's hilarious. I have a feeling after 4 years, the results will be quite different.

And Reagan rocked.

96ukssob 06-16-2010 09:11 AM

W for sure. fucked up a lot of things and did a poor job IMO.

understanding its not 100% to blame on him, his cabinet and others involved were all a bunch of retards who were only interested in putting more money in their own pockets

Every Bush lover voted negative for Obama so this poll is not exact in anyway.

Bush people are so fucking mad that if Obama shit a Trillion Dollar golden brick they'd just
complain about it stinking.

Klen 06-16-2010 09:59 AM

During Clinton there was a golden age,but not sure does that have much relationship with him.I mean, internet was just starting them, and that generated a lot of fresh new millionaires which would be probably broke if no computer/internet era.

Comparing the geo political situation in the early 60's and late 90's / early 00's

Cheney invading the most stable regime in the middle East with estimated costs of about three trillion dollars takes the cake

NetHorse 06-16-2010 10:30 AM

No contest, Obama. If you think what Bush did was bad, wait until Obama is finished doing his joke of job of "fixing" the last 8 years. We will be bankrupt and taxed more than ever before.

Don't worry about it. If Obama succeeds, it's because Democrats are awesome, if he fails, it's Bush's fault. His track record speaks for itself. He's one hell of an epic fail.

I would put W in the top 3, with tricky dicky in there. But questions like this are always loaded because people only think about the last few years. If you do some in depth reading of the late sixties/early 70s, things were 5 times worse then compared to now.

10s of thousands of US troops were dying for a fraud just as big as W's. Back then people were drafted into that quagmire. Today they just send our finest warriors on 5 tours of duty.

Thank you Obama. But of course, everyone will just blame Bush.

Wonder why Bush just didn't blame Clinton?

Because while the Republicans fuck up a lot, they're nowhere as dumb or as delusional as the Democrats. Obama has set the standard for spending, making Bush look like a cheapskate. But that's the Democrats' answer to everything, "just spend more money!!" That's why they're the laughing stock of the political world.

For all of you who bitch that Obama is bankrupting the country - please enlighten us as to the path to balancing the budget.

The truth is, it is not easy, and it will require many sacrifices. Taxes will inevitably have to go up - the retirement age will have to go up - and spending will have to be cut.

Now, please explain the simple answer that Obama is is missing. What would the "genius" republitards be doing right now, that they didn't do for the past 8 years?

It is easy to bitch, but what are the "obvious" solutions, that McCain and Palin would be managing better?

milambur 06-16-2010 02:12 PM

I actually think Bush seemed like a nice guy on a personal level, but not really president material. He got eaten alive by special interests. As for Obama he inherited a lot of shit and expectations where too high, has he handled it good? Not really I think. However I doubt that any modern day presidents got much choice in the matter. Appears to me that they are all pulling in the same direction and I doubt it will end pretty.

We had a balanced budget before Bush, but according to you we can't have that back?
The solution is easy, get rid of NAFTA, Make it just as hard to sell US goods in other countries as they are to sell here. Other countries have an edge, take it away.
Spend less, more government means more taxes, we don't need more government

It's pretty simple, so let me explain it
The US government runs the Post office
Privately owned Fed Ex and UPS are expanding and the post office is cutting back.
That's what happens when the government gets involved.

But you will blame it on Bush and defend not voting for McCain no matter what facts are given you, so why bother?

Oh really, didn't Bush call that a "SURPLUS" and then sent every working

Then he shit in his pants when we needed that money to go to war.

Awesome! So the answer has been in front of us the whole time! Just get a shipping company to run the country instead of the government!

Wow, that was easy! I can't believe it was that simple!

FedEx for President 2012!

That should take care of the oil spill, the endless wars we're in, the crazy amount of debt we have with China, unemployment, our dependence on foreign oil, our lack of manufacturing, and on and on...

GREAT NEWS!

First end at least one of the wars that he said he would end.
2 bring all our troops home from all around the world, that would instantly boost the economy and bring in more tax dollars.
3 lower taxes, esp corporate tax make it one of the lowest in the world, it is prove fact that lower taxes bring in more tax revenue :thumbsup

If you lived during the 70's you recall how divided the country was during Nixon. Since then each president has had serious issues, but I haven't seen the country as divided as it is now with Obama.

The fact that on a liberal porn forum he should have as many votes as he does, speaks volumes.

Not only are they divided but the nation is in debt up to her ears, like never before. Very dark times ahead for the country. Sadly, as they fall so will others.

I've got enough faith in the private sector to say that the economy will right itself in time. Some controls over banking and the market are long overdue. The healthcare bill however is a disaster in my opinion and that issue has set a serious wedge in the population. I doubt we will see this administration serve a second term because of it.
