that was about 4 months ago, im almost into single digit bf percentage at the same weight boss. IT CAN cause it im not saying it doesnt, but at the right dosage and with the proper amount of water it wont.
Dyna try 3g's a day everyday and see how that works out for you.

You DID say it doesn't. Go back and read what you said.

Choopa Phil 07-02-2010 12:27 PM

the reason that many people think that mono causes bloating is that the mono is not taken up by the cells as completely as a product like creatine ethyl ester like i mentioned earlier. When creatine isnt taken up by the cells it stays in the spaces between cells and causes an imbalance that will hold water in that space. This his what causes the bloating, and this is from when you take too much. does that explain it good enough for you?

IT DOESNT AT THE PROPER DOSAGE! hes LOADING hes intaking 4 times the normal amount to saturate his cells of course theres going to be an osmotic gradient (water regulation ) in the cells that cause bloat.

Who cares if he's loading or not? He's bloated. What from? CREATINE.

Plain and simple, connect the dots.

yes bloated from overdosing...i can connect the dots. OK creatine does cause bloat in MEGA DOSES! Taken in a normal dosage scheme which hes not doing currently will yeild zero bloat

dyna mo 07-02-2010 12:32 PM

so i think i'll stop the creatine for 2 days, then dose a more reasonable 3g/day pwo days. and then reassess when the bottle runs out.

Choopa Phil 07-02-2010 12:33 PM

dyna you know whats up! btw, i got that 405x3 deadlift yesterday! felt so good to be back where i was 2 years ago! oh and before i forget, sometimes creatine will cause some unwanted gas too so u might also be feeling the effects of that. Are you taking a multi with zinc or magnesium?

use it for a while to build up your beginner gains if you are just starting lifting then taper off and just supplement with good protein sources (lean meats).

and the gallon of water a day stuff is bro-science, you drink when you are thirsty all those idiots that drink a gallon+ a day are just over working their kidneys, you have a thirst mechanism for a reason.

Thank you. I have long suspected having to drink so much water when you arent thirsty is bs.

Now maybe drinking all that water does some good but yeah it does seem unnatural.

Everyone promoting anything health related has their own slant and line of bs to sell their product.

I take 1000 mg of chewable C and two chewable Active Kids vites a day. Easy and covers ya.

I used to take all the vites. 16 to 20 a day. But I like chewable kid's multis. Way cheaper too than regular chewable multis with almost the same potency. Take as many as you need. Gets in your system much easier and not stuck in your esophagus. They have good potency too. One or maybe two max active kids has 25 mg of zinc which is really high for a multi. Why take a pill of zinc.

:thumbsup that's impressive eh! that's pretty fukcing strong right. this is the phase i just started- get stronger. my new routine is 6-8 rep range, as heavy as possible and i am diggin it! it's crazy going from chest workout of pushups, 25 rep sets, lots of em, great results......to 6 sets of 8 super hard reps and feeling sore for days after. but my strength is increasing super fast, creatine prolly helped that right.

I've been up for about an hour and I've already drank 2L of water (4 bottles of water).

I have always been able to intake a LOT of fluid, even before I started working out a lot, and since I've stopped I can still drink a gallon of water a day if I really put my mind to it.

I had to work up to drinking 3 gallons + over the course of a few months. I was wearing jeans and 2 shirts in the middle of the summer and not running the a/c in my car so I was constantly sweating, I felt GREAT though.

I was basically drinking 16oz of OJ, half of that mixed with protein and fresh berries, and water. No alcohol, no soda, no other juice other than the occasional smoothie from jamba juice if I was out and needed to cram in some protein (Nothing like asking for 8 extra scoops of their protein powder haha).

BUT, since then I've started smoking, drinking soda again and I have just recently started drinking a lot of water again and I already feel an improvement overall. It's not some miracle life saver but getting hydrated without all the other bullshit is SO much better.

Choopa Phil 07-02-2010 12:50 PM

when you first get on creatine the strength and endurance increase is amazing, youll start to level off and plateau so keep those cals slightly up do keep progressing. im about to go on a 500 cal deficit and attempt to get down to a 6-7% bf. right now im just about 10%, I need to get some ripped abs then clean bulk up to 180 @ 8% and maintain from there

that's kinda why i didn't want to necc stop, might as well ride the gain till i run out which should prolly = same time as plateau eh. fuck, getting to 6-7% man, i know how hard that is.
i think i am going to have to engage in extreme measure to stay at ~7%.

Choopa Phil 07-02-2010 01:04 PM

ive been doing interval training 5x5 sets, i choose my body parts, ill do a set of 5 for each part and then run .4 miles until i complete a full 2 miles on top of all my working sets. Pick 5 excersises to do, do 1 set of each, go run, do 1 set of each, go run, etc. No breaks between working sets unless your adding or taking off plates/moving around. That will get your heart rate up!

Interesting. Do you (or anyone) know of any good over the counter products/ect or methods besides cutting salt that help flush excess water.

I think this is my prob too as well as the OP who it appears has put on water weight. I need to cut down or eliminate table salt and salty foods for sure.

I notice if I get a little more sleep and urinate a couple more times the weight goes down quite a bit more. So water retention is a big factor in weight control. Our bodies seem to want to flush water when we sleep.

I know if you have high blood pressure (which usually goes up with weight gain) docs will put you on diuretics to get rid of water. But I would rather use some kind of natural method or otc substance if possible to flush excess water weight.

Edit: Maybe I need to drink more water weird as that seems. :)

Choopa Phil 07-02-2010 01:19 PM

vjo, drink more it will diloute the salt content in your body therefore flushing you out more. I wouldnt suggest a diuretic just for the hell of it

You don't get a shredded look in creatine unless you're drinking plenty of water.

Test is best, but its not needed for what dyna is trying to accomplish. Theres no need to shut down natural test production by introducing exogenous hormones to the body

Tren acetate is the bad one. The others are much safe. tren hex, tren enth.

Thanks really appreciate it. Yes it is coming together now. I have always added table salt and that may be bloating me more than I thought. I will eliminate it for at least a week and drink more water. Easier this time of year.

I am sure drinking more water is good. Perhaps there is excess in anything. But drinking a fair amount more for a week with no added salt and no corn chips (which come to think, I eat a lot of) ect is a good test. :)

How to do right to our bodies is sometimes the last thing we get figured out. :)

Vjo 07-02-2010 01:53 PM

True story relating to water weight.. and just to show you all some extremes and how uninformed my gen is or was..

When Diet Coke came out in 1981 I started drinking it which is when my weight slowly started going up in retrospect. I am sure now it was water weight. The bodies reaction to this chemical.

Anyhow, I drank nothing but Diet Coke almost exclusively until about 2002. I mean nothing all day and all night for over 20 years but diet coke. I even had a 12 pack in the car. I know crazy. We didnt know better. :) I mean I knew it was odd but i was raised on soda so figured diet soda would be ok. :)

In those days there was no bottled spring water but maybe one brand in the back of the store cooler. Noone drank it. We all drank pop mostly.

In 2002 I literally began to taste formaldehyde inside me. A by product from the digestion of aspartame I learned and finally woke up.

I quit cold turkey and drink tap or bottled spring now exclusively.

icymelon 07-02-2010 02:00 PM

it causes you to retain water. you dont want to do it too long. that stuff stays in your blood for a while. you probably could stop for a while. if you dont feel good then you absolutely should stop. and you will still have the beni from it just hit the gym consistently for the next 6 weeks you should make some gains

Dude fuck, quit using supplements. All they do is empty your wallet and make you feel like a big sack of shit. There's only one supplement I take. Whey protein. And even then, I prefer to get my protein from real food. I start my day with a protein shake with breakfast, and that's it. After working out I have chicken breast and a potato. Supplements won't make you big, they'll make your bank account small.

Maximum amount of lean muscle that you can put on in a month is 0.9kg (1.98lbs) and that's with the perfect conditons ie protein and perfect bb program

You can increase this amount 5 fold with steroids 4.5kg (10lbs)!!!

So you've got lots of water retention and fat in that 12lbs you put on ;)

it's not fat, my caliper measurements, etc haven't gone up. i understand it's water weight, that's what creatine does.
besides, you can't put fat on much faster than you can put muscle on, so if put the max 2 pounds fat on this week,i will have almost doubled the amount of excess body fat i have!

:thumbsup

Yeah man it's water retention, time to start juicing ;)

On a serious note, bb is a very very slow process, 2lbs a month is fuck all for the amount of effort you put in. So 1 week of water retention shouldn't hold you back, think month by month. And think of serious muscle growth over a year.

This is a scientific 1.98lbs a month of lean muscle per month. If all the conditions are exactly right. Achievable I guess if this is your only goal ie you're are a pro bb.

No wonder people juice to achieve the same in 1/5th of the time!!!

When you are first starting out, you can gain more than that naturally, I feel. Especially if you are into doing leg workouts. I find most significant muscle growth in beginners (for me, at least) occured in my legs. I'd say that if you are hitting your legs like they owe you money and have a diet to match, you can see 5 pounds in one month. 4 of which would be on your legs, of course.

I can see the appeal of juicing as well, however I would never consider it. With a good diet and natural lifting, you are in very, very good shape. If you add juice to the mix, the whole "being in great shape" thing goes right out the window. I say that because look at the best years of pro bodybuilding, the 1970's. How many of those guys are still alive? And for the ones who are, ask them about their bypass surgery. They've all suffered long term health problems. Or died.

I lift for health. any asthetic or strength improvements are a huge bonus :P

maccsta 07-02-2010 03:54 PM

The roids these days are a lot healthier for you long term. They used to make your nuts shrink to the size of peanuts! Hell I don't take the fuckers, needles make me queezy for starters.

This was a scientific study I read on T Nation, 1.98lbs was the max in LEAN MUSCLE you can achieve per month. Hell if you aren't doing leg exercises no way you could achieve that, they are the biggest muscles in the body (butt muscles are the biggest!). This is like Rocky 4 with the Russian guy, perfect conditions! Perfect diet, perfect bb exercises to achieve 1.98lbs. BB takes years naturally
