I don't think he can do much harm. Brazzers hasn't needed affiliates for a while now. They pretty much took all the traffic from us tgps with Pornhub. So I can't make sales with them now. And the few guys like Freeones that do have a bit of traffic left and are affiliates of Brazzers aren't gonna pull the plug on making money with them over anything said on GFY.

So I don't see that he is gonna do any harm at all arguing with people whom don't even promote them anyway. ~shrug~

There is nothing that is going to change because of this thread. If anything, they picked up some more people applying to be an affiliate. Despite the fact they no longer need them.

You got that right. I've only been doing this since forever. I can see what I have left.
AND I see what affiliates are sending to my paysites. Guys that were sending 20,000 uniques a day to me in 1997 are sending 200 uniques a WEEK now. You should get a clue before you talk to me about traffic. It's something I've made a real good living off of for longer than most have been in the online business. I'll tell you what, when ONE affiliate can send me more than 1,000 uniques in a day I'll come back here and tell you what a fucking genius you are. Until then, I'll just go with REALITY. And reality is that most surfers are now at the big illegit tube sites like Pornhub. They aren't at our tgp's anymore. They aren't reading our blogs in any substantial number. And they aren't coming in by the thousands from all of our "genius" work on search engines.

Who can blame them? Do YOU have something as big as Pornhub that can have that many surfers a day? Of course you don't. And neither do I.

As an affiliate, neither I nor anyone else can have the kind of traffic numbers we once had when every surfer in the world knows about Pornhub. And we can't have the kinds of sales numbers we once had when every surfer in the world knows about bit torrents and file sharing sites.

It's no longer a handful of folks who have "inside info" on where to get free shit (the way it always was before). Now, it's every kid in high school already knows to go to Pornhub to watch and rapidshare to download.

You tell me. How do I compete with that? How do any affiliates compete with that?

There's a good reason why so many affiliates have left the business.

There are still some like myself who still make enough money to make a damn good living. But it's NOT what it was just 2 years ago. Instead of 90 grand a month...it's 25 grand a month. And that's here on the high end.

The guys who were making 10 grand a month a couple of years ago are all but done now.

guaranteed that a significant portion of pornhubs traffic is underage surfers. no protections what so ever to see the most bizarre sex acts on their tubes. what do you think the percentage of their traffic is that's underage? i'd guess at least 25%.

I always thought the teenage boys surfing our tgps were at least 50%. Pornhub is probably the same or even more.

That's not a bad thing by the way. It was how we cultivated future signups if you think about it. And that's the nightmare of the damage that has been done.

For the last 2 to 3 years all those teenage guys have stopped coming to tgps and instead go to tubes like Pornhub.

It used to be they came to us. And they had to wait years to get old enough to finally get a bank account and a debit/credit card to FINALLY get to see full scenes. And when that time came they were READY to buy.

Obviously that has now changed. And we have already lost at least 3 "internet generations" of new customers.

Even if all the free full scenes came down today, it would still take a couple of years to bring in the next batch of guys legally able to buy a membership.

On a side note: I always thought: "Wow! If only my tgps had been in existence when I was 15 years old it would have been GREAT! Instead of jerking to that one worn out copy of Penthouse I stole from under my Dad's bed." And that was just a few pics or a 10 second clip on a gallery.

I can only imagine how GREAT it must be for teen boys now with full scenes. :(

I just read every post in this thread and this one stood out as the one worth commenting on. It is correct from the start to the end.

None of you can compete with free. There is no adapting to the current business model. There is free and there is not free. That's it. It just so happens that free holds all the traffic and dominates the search engines. If any of you had any real business sense at all you would understand that.

Very few will pay for something if they can get it for free or something close enough to it for free. Why would you? You could pay for a $29,950 car that is exactly what you want or you can take the free car that is very close to what you want, but it's free and you save $29,000. Which would you take? $29,950 vs $29.95 is relative. Free is free. Regardless of the market the vast majority of people who always choose free when it is an option.

The question was also raised about boys looking at porno. I started at the age of 13 looking at bra and panty ads in the paper. That was my porn until I found Playboy around 16 years of age. Now, a boy of any age can look at hardcore pornography for free, anytime day or night. There are no restrictions. Those who are running these sites are providing hardcore porno to minors, plain and simple. Then again, so is everyone with a free tour that is explicit.

There is but one way to do this, but you will never do it. Each and every one of you MUST boycott any company that does business with these sites. From hosting to billing to those who buy ads there. It will be painful but I assure you that however painful it will be, it's not going to hurt as much as you're going to hurt in two more years by doing nothing. Most of you will be out of business by then.

One good hosting company needs to stand up and declare NO to illegal tube sites, file hosting or any other site that falls under that category. Everyone then needs to leave their current company for that one. The other hosts will get the message and soon get on board. Support only those who support you in return. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO BROS. NO EXCUSES.

The same goes for your sponsors, web cams, 3rd part billers, companies like NATS and MPA3, everyone. Boycott EVERYONE who supports these sites. Only then will changes happen. Yes it will be painful, but not as painful as what is coming.

Of course this will never happen, but I have given you 1 solution. You have the power to resolve a lot of your own problems but are all afraid to act. No one wants to be the odd man out or the lone cowboy in this industry.
