his program, his rules. If he thinks it works, let him. Maybe more sponsors should set some rules.

yup I saw this email in my inbox earlier today and made sure to finish my drink so i wouldn't spit it out or spill it while laughing my ass off reading whatever the email said. I was glad I took those steps :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I too think that is a really bad thing to call out affiliates by url in a affiliate email. Send them emails directly but never send out something like this to all affiliates..

To those affected by this morons email feel free to swap out his 8 fhgs with any or ALL of my 500+ fhgs :thumbsup:1orglaugh

Four content good, Two (Much) content bad.

I wonder if Alpha Sky is playing everyone on GFY? She has received more views to her program with her wacky threads and rants than any program that actually pays for advertising.

At the end of day, very few affiliates will stop promoting a site because of personal feelings towards the owner as long as it sells and pays on time.

Hmmmm?

Wasn't this guy saying how he was so proud of making 2k a month or something like that not long ago. He posted some half ass stats that he was bragging about?

Agreed, I'm sure with their tracking ID they could have located the account.

This is the oddest request to WMs I've read in awhile.

Whew! Thank you Grumpy. Nice to find a gem in the mania.

I knew that a slew of negativity was coming (again) from the same large group that seems to dictate to everone what they can and can not do with their business.

The really funny thing is, doesn't anybody here actually read other affiliates postings in regards to the downward spiraling of sales and how "porn is free" and how profits are disappearing?

Why is it that when we are trying to do something about it, we get shit thrown in our faces from some affiliates and from strangers that don't even rep our content? Some of the comments here make no sense at all.

One of the main problems is "over promoting" and releasing too much free content.

There are tons of posts from many webmasters that all agree with this. Free content is ruining your very own business.

Instead of writing nasty posts about one webmaster trying to make a difference, take a few minutes out and try to understand what we are doing.

Affiliates must learn how to use and control they way they advertise our content as well as other site's content.

We are not in the business of "getting surfers off for free." We say, "make them pay for it." If a surfer can Google one of our sites and preview in one location, over 100 pics, then why in the world would this same surfer purchase a membership?

If he is hunting around and can only find a very limited preview of something he is very interested in, then he is more likely to purchase a membership.

We are simply setting some guidelines to limit the amount of exposure of our content to secure future sales for our affiliates as well as ourselves. Of course we are a very small site, and our sales are not huge like other sites, but you will notice we are very steady and do have a nice stream of sales coming in all year long. Site owners understand that most of their sites disappear within the first year do to lack of original content or over promotion.

If more site owners would limit the amount of free content, then they would make more money as well as affiliates selling that same content. We believe affiliates must learn how to tease their traffic, not supply them with enough free content so they can get off for free.

They won't buy the cow if they can get the milk for free.

Please do not condemn us for applying a simple limitation of the usage of our free content.

4 FHG's is more than enough to wet the appetite of any surfer. Letting them preview 100
s of free pics is counter productive and goes against the tease effect which induces sales.

Also, a majority of our affiliates were not upset with this and understand what we are trying to do. We only sent out the 2nd email as a reminder to a small group that ignored our request and or have not made the reduction. We had no idea that some angry person would post our private email and use it to broadcast a hate message with it to invite more haters to post their negative thoughts. We meant no disrespect to those affiliates listed. It was merle a reminder email as after 20 days, we did not get a response from them and our free content was not edited to the proper amounts.

It would be nice to hear from site owner/creators as to their opinions of the usage of their free content.

Please understand we are looking at the future of adults sales and not just this week.

By securing and controlling the over usage and over promotion of our sites, we insure long term sales for ourselves as well as our affiliates. We don't believe the current business model works for our sites as many of you I'm sure feel the same way.

Let's all put the plastic wrappers back over our sites and make the surfers pay to get off.

Site owners must learn to control their content so we can all earn money.

Let's stop giving it all away for free.

:)

I thought about this more and I have to agree with you on it.

If your content is truly that unique then I can see where you are coming from. And if the galleries are too much, it's wasted bandwidth and money because those surfers aren't converting.

I'd be interested to know the results in a few months if it improved conversions, etc.

I never actually thought i would say this in public.
Alpha you are fucking yourself, ruining your business and just overall have already scared away the affiliates that matter "the potential whales"

You have been posting your shit on this board from day 1 and been stubborn, convinced that you are right any everyone else is just a cracker....

The other day you posted that your combines Affiliates made 2000 USD in sales
Don’t you know that one half decent affiliate can make you that pr month “Easy”?
Seriously, you never thought about that?

You seem to think that you have a special product and that people should respect that.....newsflash, you don’t have anything at all with the way you run your program.
Go pay for some adult B2B advice, spend the money and i will guarantee you that your business will pick up a LOT

Letting an email like that out is business suicide 1st class
So congrats

There's nothing wrong with trying new things.

However...

If you want to continue making sales, the worst thing you can do is alienate your affiliates. That's really all you've been doing since day 1. Think about it. Seriously.

Why don't you actually ASK and DISCUSS your ideas with the people who are sending you sales, BEFORE you do anything silly?

Well, we didn't mean to disrespect to any current affiliates. We had no idea that somebody would post our private email for sport. We never "bashed" our affiliates, but are asking them to simply remove some excess FHG's. We did send out an email about 3 weeks ago and we didn't get a response from those affiliates listed in our 2nd email. We just listed their sites in the email to raise attention to the issues at hand which are very serious to us and our future in business. We never called them "out" or said bad things about them. I don't feel we violated any confidence issues.

A large majority of our affiliates had no problem with reducing the amount of promotional materials being used in one location. Just a small portion did not make the adjustment as of yet.

We are not out to upset people and to cause problems. We are just asking for a reduction in the amount of FHG's being shown in one location. Still at a loss as to all the negative remarks about doing this. We feel it's a very solid move in the right direction. The current model of sending out 1000's of free pics and vids to induce sales no longer works in this market place. It's time for a different approach in a new direction.

Less = More.

:)

You are a complete NOTHING

Your a stupid incest seller, worthless idiot and you have shit for brains

I have 12 constructive years in this business, but never seen such a loudmouth with a high believe in himself then you. I have seen Noobs doing a better job.

Those twins, incest bitches, could make more money ( 1500% more ) if they would shuffle a sock in your mouth and dump you in the nearest river.

People like you always end up getting a good punch for their mouth for thinking they know it all.

Piss off you ant

You have no idea how stupid you make yourself in Public. And take that from someone who is able to sell 100 Times more a month then you`ll ever be able to do.

Serious, your a cluster fuck.

We couldn't agree with you more. 2 twin sisters posing together in photos is just wrong.
We've seen the light now. Thank you for showing us how wrong we can be.

^ I don't see those two holding each others bare boobs and about to kiss each other on the lips?

AlphaSky 07-21-2010 01:38 AM

Breast covering and "about" to kiss and or a kiss is legal. Please look up the definition incest before you point your fingers at us.

But I guess representing websites that tie up women, shove fists and cocks up their asses, pee on them, etc... is just fine by your standards?

Our work is sexy, erotic and pure fantasy. No sex, no violence, no penetration of any kind, no showing of genitals, no touching of genitals, no sex acts, no incest.

Say nasty things about our programming skills, that's fine. But please leave our content alone. Most men enjoy looking at beautiful twin sisters in fantasy play. I'm sorry you don't enjoy our work.

You should check out this magazine called "Playboy." It features really sexy and erotic pictorials.

Tjeezers, you crossed the line there mang, retract before your account does.

Interesting saga here.. I can understand where you're coming from, however I think you might be failing to see the bigger picture.

You say that if surfers can see all your content, why would they buy? True.. However without looking I'm sure 100% of your site is available as a zip file being given away by websites who aren't even your affiliates.

Affiliates have to compete with these sites as much as you do, and offering just a few pictures or a few galleries is pretty 1997.

Most site owners just make rules like "no pussy shots" or "no cum shots" or wherever you want to draw the line. Alternatively you could make a rule about only using content you designate as promoteable, and not allow affiliates to grab pictures from your members areas.. I've seen that before too.

But I'd be careful about how many rules you apply to your affiliates, because as you see from this thread, it's easy to just promote one of the other 25,000+ paysites instead.

I don't understand this at all. Where does all this rage come from? Name calling and nasty comments?

All we did was just ask affiliates not post every single FHG in one location... and just post up to 4.

Is that so bad? Trimming down on "over promotion."

Why all the swearing and negative comments?

What is really going on here? What is this really about?

You know, some programs shut down and stiff affiliates money that is due them. All we are doing is trimming the way affiliates over advertise our content. That's all. We are doing something that is good in the long run, not bad.

Why don't people see that?

Please stop this angry hostility. It just doesn't make sense anymore.
