Plain and simple, the Republican party establishment is clearly using the Immigration issue to stoke racial concerns and fears in a cynical attempt to win mid-term congressional and senatorial elections. If they deeply cared about this issue, the Bush Administration would have done something substantive about it when they ruled the White House for eight years, with a largely cooperative Congress and Senate. They only speak out divisively now, when they are out of power. It is a desperate ploy by a desperate political party, that is out of equilibrium with the nation, as well as with itself. Try and reconcile the differences between Willard "Mitt" Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul. The Republicans are a party in disarray, currently with no clear leader, to put it mildly/nicely. The voice of the party is instead found in Fox News political hacks such as Hannity, Beck, and O'Reilly, and other talk show nutjobs such as Limbaugh and Savage, whose modus operandi is fallacy and smear tactics. Then there is the lunatic activist fringe of the right, the so-called Tea Party, made up mostly of LaRouche-ites, John Birchers, and various other neocons, plus the standard right wing religious kooks, and miscellaneous other tin foil hatters. The funniest/saddest part of it all, is that it is the wealthy corporate industrialists, military profiteers, and Wall Street financial companies, that are financing most of this so-called movement, and are controlling most of the puppet strings, although they represent the smallest portion of the party in terms of numbers. The more that the right-wing attempts to wrap themselves in the flag, or in the dogma of the bible (as if they have exclusive ownership of either), and act in typical knee-jerk reactionary fashion, the more that they alienate the rest of America, the majority of people, whom embrace true freedom, equality, and justice, regardless of race, religion or creed - the principals upon which this country was founded, and has grown stronger because of. Do you think any of these people actually have state issued licenses? think about it. |
Just goes to show there a lot of illegals here who are not here to work and provide for their families by doing jobs most americans won't. The media always seems to jam down the public's throat that this is the case. Every illegal is a goodie two shoes according to them... On a side note, why don't we have the prisoners pick the fruit and do the gigs we won't do? You telling me the inmates on "good behavior" wouldn't love to get outside for the day? We over 1 million inmates http://www.allcountries.org/uscensus...prisoners.html
seems like a nice labor force to start and we are already paying them to sit in a cage anyways, pseudo free labor. |

Arizona law aside, people feel like they have lost their right to vote, they also feel like they have lost their right to protect themselves, people are dieing, violence is all over the state of Arizona and the rest of the border states. If you think this is about freedom, fine, they have the freedom to apply for citizenship the legal way. People do it all the time. BTW, hard to call the Tea Party a fringe group, they have a caucus now in Washington http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...-party-caucus/ |

Of course he shouldnt have had a drivers license. There should be very little tolerance for being drunk and operating a vehicle. I'm not for zero tolerance stuff, but I dont see why people get several chances to offend before they're severely punished for some things.. like drunk driving, or being in the country illegally. My friend and his little brother got no second or third chances when a drunk asshole killed them.

how many people do you know that don't have a job right now? All the government spending and then you hear about states cutting back on services You live in Cali, you know. The recovery act according to the recovery website has produced new jobs at a rate of $714K per employee? and did you hear the top 100 wasteful stimulus projects? Examples of wasteful projects include: ? $554,763 for the Forest Service to replace windows in a closed visitor center at Mount St. Helens ? $762,372 to create ?Dance Draw? interactive dance software ? $62 million for a tunnel to nowhere in Pittsburgh, PA that even Governor, Ed Rendell called ?a tragic mistake? ? $1.9 million for international ant research ? $1.8 million for a road project that is threatening a pastor?s home ? $308 million for a joint clean energy venture with?BP ? $89,298 to replace a new sidewalk that leads to a ditch in Boynton, OK ? $3.8 million for a ?streetscaping? project that has reduced traffic and caused a business to fire two employees ? $16 million to help Boeing to clean up an environmental mess it created in 2007 ? $200,000 to help Siberian communities lobby Russian policy makers ? $39.7 million to upgrade the statehouse and political offices in Topeka, Kansas ? $760,000 to Georgia Tech to study improvised music ? $700,000 to study why monkeys respond negatively to inequity ? $193,956 to study voter perceptions of the economic stimulus ? $363,760 to help NIH promote the positive impacts of stimulus projects ? $456,663 to study the circulation of Neptune?s atmosphere ? $529,648 to study the effects of local populations on the environment?in the Himalayas You mix that with Obamanation taking a stand against the American voter in Arizona, I think we'll have a new senate, but not as big a landslide as people think. I think the future of the Tea Party depends on their resolve to weather the racial attacks of liberals like NAACP and others that are afraid of them, because racial attacks is all they have left, that's pretty weak. But Obamanation will tell everyone that letting the GOP back in will take us back to the days of Bush, makes it sound like he is still running against Bush doesn't, again, weak! |

OK, I'll just call him Barry? Maybe I'll stop calling him Obama Nation when he stops running against Bush and starts running the country And what names did you have for Bush? Don't have anything to add about the stimulus list? |
I read the 100 list off drudgereport too. All things considered those projects are peanuts in a 700 billion stimulus bill.
what is truly absurd is the 26 billion bill that pelosi is calling a special august session to pass...a bill to further bail out states that are overpaying public unionized employees. Sadly, while private sector business cuts salaries & jobs, public employees keep getting bailouts. but bottom line is that the dems are running things so bad, they are about to turn the government right back over to the bush people. LOL. |

No, no, no, you've got it all wrong:
It was a drunk illegal NUN who was awaiting deportation to the Vatican that killed an actual alien from Cygnus IV. I read it in the Weekly World News last weekly. |

However crime has been on the rise in the surrounding areas for a couple of years, there's been a huge influx of hispanics and groups starting up such as "Help Save Manassas", and it's been a clusterfuck of people with different outlooks on how they want the immigration laws to be around here. |
There is only one clear solution.
Every legal American gets a gun and bullets (You must provide proof of your citizenship). Make it open season on illegals. You can kill as many as you want without prosecution. If you kill someone that isn't illegal, you get the death penalty. If your parents are illegal... YOU are illegal. Let's see how quickly they pack up and go home. |
