That's a liberal philosophy I will NEVER agree with. You don't have to earn $100 billion either, make just $2 million a year and you will get struck with absurd taxes.
It goes to pay for welfare
Social Services
The pockets of politicians
Political campaigns
etc, etc..
That's all fine, we have to pay a certain amount of tax, but overly punishing the rich is NOT what America is about. Developing a system that says if you work your ass off all your life and make $2 million a year we are going to take $1,300,000, (65%) of it in taxes to fund entitlement programs is bullshit.
The democrats believe in MORE spending and entitlement programs, which in-turn leads to more taxing.
I'm not sure if you made it past the 3rd grade, but I'm sure you've heard the phrase, 'America is the land of opportunity'.
America has always been about fewer government benefits but vastly greater economic opportunity and social mobility. Something uneducated leaches who want to live off the system might not understand.
Go look at wealth in other countries, especially Europe, over 70% of wealth is frequently the product of birth or inheritance. In America, by contrast, every city abounds with immigrants who came to the United States with nothing and now run thriving businesses with dozens, if not hundreds, of employees. Most successful people in this country have earned their own money.
Go read the book 'The Millionaire Next Door' it estimates that 80 percent of American millionaires are entirely self-made.
What happens when the free market is overrun by government bureaucrats. Banking, auto, wall street, insurance, health, etc, etc?
