like it or not, the biz is almost dead, that's the fact.

After 6 and a half years I think it's about time for me to move on... there are much exciting stuff to do in this world.

you're the only one. you're going to have to sell yourself traffic, be your own affiliate and shoot your own content then be your own billing company.

I don't sell traffic and rarely buy any, I already shoot my own content and always have done our own billing.

So not much will change.

I'm not going anywhere. I've been having record months lately

I enjoy what I do, been growing a little bit month-by-month for the last couple of years... I'm just diversifying and building (still adult and dating). If it becomes impossible to make money this way 2-3 years from now, then I'll just do whatever is possible.

What I won't do is sell any of my sites for 3,6,9 months income :1orglaugh

i'll admit, i took my eye off the ball re: my current adult ventures and before i knew it, sales were off and recovering them has proven difficult. that said, i've diversified into mainstream and also have plans to diversify within adult, but i will let the current state of adult affairs play out prior to investing resources into this industry.

I have been shooting porn since 1991 and I have seen a lot of changes in the biz in that time from VHS & retail store distribution to DVD to the Internet and multimedia. With some foresight, a lot of hard work, advances in technology and due to some long relationships with industry leaders I am thankfully busier than ever at a time when many other producers are stuggling.

I only wish I had more time and manpower to accomplish some of my goals and projects for myself. There is still a lot of opportunity on the horizon for people who really love what they do, produce quality or have a niche and can serve it well. The bottom line is that someone along the way from the hands on content producer to the program owner has to still be excited by porn and what they are creating and know how to market it. Someone has to think of the fans, the end users who actually spend money on porn. A lot of the old school late 1990's & early 2000's adult industry affiliate program owners really never did care about porn per se, and many of them have moved on to mainstream or offline ventures now that it is a lot harder.

In it for long haul.

Yup, I was thinking yesterday while driving...FM radio is 100% Free, but so many of us
choose to listen to satellite radio. And we pay for it.
TV is 100% Free, but 98% of households pay for Cable.
There will be Free porn, but that doesn't mean people still won't take out their credit cards.

We're not going anywhere but what we are doing is embracing the new markets (i.e. cecashmobile) while continuing to support the existing ones.

There is still a ton of business out there and this industry was long overdue for a shakeout. The programs with solid business models will continue to flourish as well as the smart webmasters who continue to work hard at driving traffic.

Making a living off of what you love most. Can't beat that.

I'm staying.. I can't sell a site for even 12 months of income when it will sure enough make at least 3 times that during its lifetime. And I'm still building more porn sites but I never intended to stay in adult forever so sooner or later most of my focus will be on mainstream sites.

I'm so close to retirement age now so I might as well stick around for the last 34 years till it's time to retire :thumbsup

looking at all my options but dont plan to go any were any time soon...

I am thinking about it and discussing it right now, this is the worst time for me to sell, since Networks with their own traffic are worth it in the comming events, on the other hand if I can get a good price for the Network I would sell it without blinking an eye.

there is definately a world outside of adult

I figure at least 3 more yrs. Ive been doing some form of adult for over 24 yrs now.
