And living in NYC, and almost dying on 9/11, doesn't make me an 'activist' or even a 'patriot', just someone who has personally lived through a terrorist attack (something 99.9% of Teabaggers - or Americans - thankfully have not). This gives me a particular perspective. So when I see Teabaggers coming to NYC to protest against a Muslim mosque one day, then turn around and blame ALL the country's ills on (NYC) liberals the next, then YES I see the teabagger 'activism' as political hype/bullshit.

Now maybe you're a Conservative, or a Republican, or a Teabagger even, I don't know. But I can tell you that after 8 years of Bush MISERY if someone is still a Republican/Conservative then at this point it's a character flaw. Got nothing against you personally Mo, but if you want to hitch your wagon to those Teabagger nutjobs then, well, I feel sorry for you.

If your respect (my word) for the Tea Party is based on their taking action then do you also respect the hundreds of thousands of people who marched on Washington to protest the wars in Iraq and elsewhere? This happened many times during Bush, but the propaganda we have in this country called "the media" rarely reported it. Fifty thousand tea baggers can show up somewhere and they're ALL OVER the news. Makes it seem like a bigger movement than it really is. But half a million show up in 2004 to protest the war and it got a total of 12 minutes of airtime on the 3 cable channels. Now come on!

I agree activism is the best thing, and I agree the tea partiers have 100% rights to protest. I, too, applaud their taking action, if only because the more they talk and protest the easier it is to see where they're really coming from. But don't assume other non-teabaggers do not protest or are activists, because they are. The real sadness here is the media in this country, who broadcast their own agendas and get people like Mo and Peabody upset for their own gains. :)

i do have the utmost respect for all protesters, even though i don't agree with them all, at all. it's the fundamental way to create change/make a difference in our country.

you can thank fox news for the tea party coverage and the kowtow mentality of the other media organizations who follow fox's lead. they're the #1 news source and the others mimic what they do in an attempt to be like #1. it's beyond pathetic, it's sad and tragic.

The only problem with your response is that it isn't pertinent to who I was replying to or what I was saying. The poster (topnotchstandupguy), went ahead put up some video's and then said that they would not attending a tea party event. They are stating that they are going to take what they see on whatever sources match their pre-existing bias, and assume that it is true, without actually going themselves. I wasn't assuming anything about YOU at all, and any statements about whether or not you have been to a rally could have been cleared up by a simple declaration on your part, one way or the other.
