i read the Satanic Bible in 1988, just because some dude had it kickin' around the barracks, and i was bored. People generally freak out when they see that book.... but I can assure everyone, it's equally as retarded and stupid as the regular bible.

I read he Satanic Bible a couples years ago and still have a copy kicking around just to tweak out the religious retards. I keep it next to the door during JW season. Originally I bought it when I was working on the road to leave laying around my hotels rooms as a bad joke. But anyways, I read the thing, and it was utterly fucking retarded. Someone needs to get through to people wanting to burn the Qu'ran:

1. They're doing exactly as Hitler's regime was doing. So fuck them on that point alone.

2. While terrorism is bad, look at how many Muslims exist (1.5+ billion) compared to how many terrorist acts they've taken out and it's obvious that only a tiny percent of them are extremists.

3. Ironically Muslims as a whole probably stay much truer to the Qu'ran than Christians do to their Bible. A significant percentage of Christians should take heed of that and actually read their fucking Bible and pay attention to the messages it gives on how to live life, and there probably wouldn't be all this hatred towards Muslims because they'd know God would fuck them up the ass and send them to hell anyways. :P

4. Just going to wager a guess on this, but I would think the US et al have killed more innocent Muslims in Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan in the past decade than the amount of innocent people Muslims have killed in the US et al over that same period, including 9/11. The only difference is the US has obviously killed far more militant Muslims as well...so does that make us better for it? I don't think so.

5. The ONLY thing that could come of burning the Qu'ran is pissing off terrorists and having them kill even more innocent people, including those idiots doing the burning, their families/friends/neighbors/etc. Who the fuck would want to back such people up? There's absolutely nothing POSITIVE that could come from making that "statement". If Christian God exists, he/she/it is in a facepalm right now.

Oh I don't think it's going to stop any. Don't get me wrong. If American had a "Hug a Koran" day, Islam's extremists would still want to burn America to the ground. The hatred for the US runs deep, and is built upon far more than a little religious bigotry. But is some attention whoring Christian extremist burning the Koran really solving anything? No, it's just perpetuating a cycle of hatred towards America, and creating an even more unstable environment for the men and women who are fighting in the name of the country. It's fucking ignorant. Not just towards the general Muslim community, but to the Americans whose lives are on the line in the Middle East. Personally I think the the extremists from both sides should all be shipped out to sea and pushed overboard.
