Instead of sitting around wondering if today is the day.

100% agree with this.

TampaToker 09-09-2010 12:16 PM

I aint one to kick someone while they are down but i truly find this hard to believe after 4 full business days "as of today we still have received no good basis for it"

You are talking about millions of dollars of peoples money frozen and still aint got a reason for there funds being locked up. Give me a fucking break here.

You make all these people wait for a announcement and you aint given them one fucking thing as a update in this post. Pure fucking pathetic in my book.

Michael this posted wasn't intended for you by the way....

AzteK 09-09-2010 12:16 PM

For anyone to do any future business with these guys...YOU GUYS ARE SUCKERS.

Second, ePassporte is working with the St. Kitts bank to work out how all payments will be made and when. The details are complicated, because there are funds in motion and where and when they settle requires us to all be careful that we fully and properly account for all those funds and their rightful owner. This issue stems from our processing and reporting ability through the Visa system and their processor.

that should be the biggest issue. this new release clearly states the funds are secure and they are working with the bank to pay us out.

anything beyond that who knows, but at least the money is there and we will get it back.

For ePassporte

visa and/or a bank doesnt just lock up an account like epass and not even let them know why a week into it. No way in hell epass doesnt know why. The real question is why dont they want their customers to know why

Cradle 09-09-2010 12:19 PM

ok....................

bigluv 09-09-2010 12:19 PM

Non statement does more harm than good.

Also, the tone of this seems to be a lot more subdued -- no mention of getting back to business as usual even as a goal. I read it as 'we will eventually get the money disbursed on a one time basis' , but nothing about carrying on in future with VISA functions.

J. Falcon 09-09-2010 12:19 PM

So it's still not clear why this happened? Man what bullshit.

There is no money, it's the only logical assessment to make.

I'd say there is a WHOLE lot of money being shuffled around for this that and the other thing....What's that James Bond movie? Casino Royale.....

Yahook 09-09-2010 12:22 PM

Unfortunately I don't see in this statement how much time it will take you to solve this problem. What if it will take you weeks or months?

I think there is money. They specifically said it's safe. The question is do they have access to it.

moeloubani 09-09-2010 12:22 PM

was hoping theyd have a solution by now...epass is just too convenient to see it go

"money is secure and safe" only when they're in the hands of their rightful owners :2 cents:

This is an utterly unsatisfactory announcement from ePassporte, I cannot imagine any other company in our community getting the kind of free pass and patience that the majority of us have shown to them over the past week.

A long post saying nothing new at all and making us wait for it pushed credibility....this statement could have been made 8 hours ago or even yesterday or the day before etc.

They also say that after 7 days of having their complete business shut down that they don't know how, or why. They also say that money is available on wire, there just seems to be so much 'wrong'.

Are we to pick out certain statements to believe and dismiss others?

I mean really, the whole head office (and Toronto office) is just sitting there for 7 days and know NOTHING?

Bullshit.

USA 09-09-2010 12:26 PM

The best would be to unite all ePassporte customers and pay lawyers.
This only buy extra time for every lie that is copy / paste what we have already heard several times.
Nothing specific, but one day ...
Michael, I have nothing against you personally!

elron 09-09-2010 12:26 PM

1 - Why did visa close your partnership program ?
2 - How come the money on prepaid cc's is still not accesable after a week ?
3 - Who is holding the funds on those prepaid cc's ?

Answer these 3 questions and i will trust you like trusted you all those years.

Chezter 09-09-2010 12:27 PM

Looks like I won't be able to buy any food or pay hosting this weekend.. not good news for me :(

arock10 09-09-2010 12:27 PM

so wait, the statement today is the same as it was 7 days ago?

Yes. And all I need to know is this.

I know this is nothing for those who live from paycheck to paycheck, and I do feel sorry for you, but I take this as some kind of good news anyway.. :pimp

beta-tester 09-09-2010 12:28 PM

I really can't believe that they don't have the reason why they are cut off of VISA's network. They must have that, otherwise a bad ass lawsuit could come without any doubt!

So, there are some information that they are obviously not willing to share with us, probably afraid of all clients running away from them once this is resolved. Well, I am myself afraid that a lot of clients will run away regardless....

Not cool... but as I said I expect this to be a long process.

HighlyIntoxicated 09-09-2010 12:28 PM

Thanks for making us wait for absolutely nothing Micheal.
