Watch the show called "Jacked." It's based out of East Orange and Newark and Irvington NJ. They set up stings with dummy cars etc. They put them there, as opposed to a town like Ridgewood NJ because you're average kid who has a BMW already bought for him isn't going to steal a car. That's why they put them in the hood. A car in the hood unlocked is like a those blue lights on a bug zapper. Young black guys just keep going towards it. ZAPPP.
Plus, a lot of the thefts are gang initiations. Last I checked, and I could be wrong, there isn't a high gang population where affluent white kids go to school.
So there is your answer. I'm not saying that it doesn't suck for people who live in areas where the average income is next to nothing, but that's how it is. Little can be done aside from educating these kids that stealing cars will get you in a lot of trouble. But that's a side effect of "keeping it real" I suppose :/

Do those wind turbines bother you at all? I was just curious as they are putting a bunch of them up in my area, but thankfully not near my house.
