Yes, as ePassporte they can not loan out the funds we have on deposit, but if they also own the bank the ePassporte uses for their deposits, which it seems pretty clear that they do, then they can play the fractional reserve banking game...

It's not a Visa situation. Visa has said officially that they only turned off the cards because the bank in St. Kitts that ePassporte uses for Visa cards asked them to do it.

Sad thing is Epassporte is already doomed since everyone and his mother is withdrawing every penny they can. They live on the interest and the fee's, if everyone withdraws their money there is nothingto take interest or fee's from.

I did look at the withdrawal options that are available and was bemused to see that wire transfers are not available to everyone. There is no mention of who they are available to -- just that you have to submit a request for one and THEN Epassporte will tell you if you are one of the ones.

Also, I'd like to know why Epassporte needs a copy of my credit card or bank statement in order to send payment via credit/debit card. I have no intention of providing my personal or business financial documents to a foreign company that is now experiencing serious business difficulties.
