I told my Dad today that I had spoken with a guy in Viet Nam who needed help in interent marketing and he froze for a second and went dead white but said nothing. He went to the refigerator, grabbbed a tall Bud and walked out onto the patio, sat down and lit up a smoke. After some time, he came back inside, grabbed another tall Bud, lit up another smoke and told me how glad he was that I had told him. He said that such overtures were long past due, that it was a good thing and he was one step closer to putting a lot of things to rest. Said he never thought things like that would happen and began a sort of monlogue about his experience there and ended with a nearly tearful expression of how much he really loved that tiny nation and its people. Dad can blow my mind sometimes.
