Obama made it pretty clear early on that the GOP had no power and that he WON the election and was going to do what he wanted to. He kept the GOP out of the whole healthcare process. You want polarized congress, you got it, Barry built it |

Please explain the Democrats' plan to fix America. And when I say plan, I don't mean economic collapse.:1orglaugh |
come on man. its reasonable to attack republican rule when they were running the show. They've been out of power in congress almost 4 years now, out of power totally almost 2 years.
Yes, there is a massive hangover in the job market & the government deficit. But what have DEMS done to grow jobs? what have they done to reduce the deficit? All they have done is health care, & it was done so bad, nothing will change. Wall street reform? too big to fail can still happen. derivatives & credit card gouging continues unabated. Its truly pathetic how much power DEMS had in congress & got so little done. Not to say the repubs will be better. But you spend so much energy attacking the right wing, giving no attention to the damage being done by your party, right now. |

Our entire problem can be found written on the back of the iphone: "designed in USA, made in china" Our ruling class, CEOS & the politicians, need to go nationalist, destroy the globalism business model & return jobs back to america. That means big fat tariffs on foreign goods & services. Its repugnant that all our major beermakers are now owned by foreign corporations. That its impossible to buy a toy, or clothing, or a computer, made in the USA. American workers are competing with $1/hour in 3rd world countries thanks to globalism. Time to get off the free trade wagon & start building american products for american consumers. It might help also if american parents would make their children put aside the mcdonalds & video games & educate themselves for a higher tech economy. But that may be asking too much. |

Obama's plan: ship 23,000 oil jobs to Mexico (with our tax money to drill in the gulf) and raise the cost of energy. That should get us right back on track.
Mandate health insurance (not care) Raise taxes on everyone, (the health care bill is a tax) Raise energy costs Ship jobs over the border. Raise taxes on businesses Shut off looo holes so the business just move over seas all together. man I could think of more if I was not tired ha. |
i know. its unlikely we'll ever return to a manufacturing economy. Globalism benefits the CEOS & the politicians so they will never go nationalist. Our economy is now built around the food, entertainment, & banking industries. Everything else is made overseas.

the problem with retorting your original post is that its based on an obscure political blog that presents information fox news style from the left. You attack & attack fox noise but your own source of political information is hopelessly partisan itself.
As far as i can tell, the republicans aren't offering anything substantial to steer our economy in the right direction. They promise spending cuts but never never never get specific. So i can't really go to bat for the repubs. But trying to retort a warped presentation of what republicans will do is a folly. I may as well analyze Colberts "keep fear alive" rally because thats just as substantial as your political blog. |

They do NOT want to repeal the healthcare bill, they do NOT want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, they do NOT want to repeal Wall Street reform, etc? Wow, that is big news! I guess there is no difference between the 2 sides then after all. Thanks for sorting all of that out for us! |

and even if congress changes power, what do you think will be accomplished? i will tell you, nothing... but, the teabaggers will just really hone in on obama and blame him until we get a republican in the white house.. and then all the democrats will be running around in some new clever organization like the teabaggers.. and 4 more years are wasted and we still have the same problems and the same arguments.. what i always find interesting about these topics are how heated and emotional they get.. what i find more interesting is all the name calling and not much in the offering of solutions.. both sides attack each other and try to destroy the other credibility very similar to what the two parties do to each other.. so, by default, anyone who calls another person stupid instead of responding with any kind of intelligent response is really the ignorant one. there is no perfect fix for a world that is run by human beings because human beings are not perfect.. in fact human beings are evil, greedy, and vile creatures by design.. i have given up on the hope that the govt is ever going to serve anyone else but themselves and corporate interests.. i am ok with that since i have now adopted the philosophy that i am going to be just like the govt. i am going to look out for my best interests and my best interests only... so have fun with these threads, they accomplish nothing... :thumbsup \ . |

Honestly nobody knows what either party will DO when they get power. They both SAY they will do things. then they dont happen. Remember Obamas 90 day freeze on foreclosures? came straight out of his mouth on his video intro before his convention speech. When will you understand that neither party is your friend. & singling out 1 side as if the other will do the right thing is a waste of energy. & using low grade political blogs that say republicans will turn the moon blue does not contribute to your cause. |

2. I never said either party was going to fix anything. 3. You seem to only criticize those supporting the right, whereas you're nonexistent when someone is verbally fellating the left. Try and be consistent with your thoughts. Pretending to be objective doesn't work. |

i think the democrats have done a horrible job. i think obama has also done a shit job.. what i find interesting though is that whenever someone posts something about the right, the same people come in and start the same name calling. maybe i am missing something, but i don't see that happen the other way around here.. in any case, i think both sides suck and i have stated hundreds of times that govt as a whole needs to be replaced. how is that not being objective? i hate both sides equally.. if i repeat myself in certain threads, i am repeating myself so that maybe one day people will wake up and realize that if they want change, they are going to have to dismantle the whole system.. i have actually seen more and more comments lately of people blaming both sides and not just one.. this seems like good progress to me and i hope that this attitude spreads.. i will also say that i like the fact that the teabaggers are sending a message that they will vote your republican ass out of office if they dont like what you are doing and not just attacking the other side.. this is the kind of movement that this country needs, minus the attacking of the other side... united we stand, divided we fall has more meaning in this country than ever before, at least i think it does... . |

You people are actively seeking to support a radical wing of the religious right (aka FOX News and it's so called "Tea Party") who will make destroying porn JOB ONE and you are doing so under the misguided impression that since Bush didn't outlaw porn then the Tea Party won't either..fuck you guys are out of touch with reality. I will be back to remind you of this thread in a couple years when your foul hypocrisy is revealed. |

I believe BOTH sides of the aisle are owned by special interests. I believe that without term limits and campaign finance reform, we are all being played. I believe SOME people get into politics to make a positive change, but that very often, they find they are sucked into the muck just as quickly. BUT, what I also believe is... The corporate powers that be, prefer Republicans to be in power, because, although the Dems are a mixed bag as well, they are not in solid lockstep with ALL of the corporations at ALL times. Make fun of Obama's healthcare plan as much as you like, but at least it is SOMETHING! At least it ATTEMPTS to make a few corrections. Make fun of Obama's Wall Street reform plan as much as you like, but at least it is SOMETHING! At least it ATTEMPTS to make a few corrections. And on and on.... Both sides are happy to fuck over the regular folk - but the GOP does it with more enthusiasm, and with no shame whatsoever. |
