Very good point.

Last night my bike was stolen ( true story ) not that great of a bike given the current state of the biz, but that's not the point.

Who was I mad at? The thief that needed a ride home? or the dummy that left it on the lawn unlocked? you guess.

:1orglaugh Okay bud.

Typical 00's TGP webmaster, head in the sand and fails to see how he fucked up the biz.
You go on and ignore me, I Know the truth hurts.
Goes to show why this biz is fucked, it's the blind leading the deaf.

FYI, there is a difference between insult and fact, and if you can't see that its the WEBMASTERs that put all this porn out, then I guess my statement was fact.

Have a good one. I'm out.

Because they don't have public trackers. It's not hard. The abhorrent lawyers cannot use their software if there is no tracker.

This is why you've only been able to blackmail BT users. Not the serious pirates on Usenet. Not the pikey tubes. Not rapidshare. Not private forums. No where else. Did you not ever wonder why?

Robbie, are you unaware when someone presents a point you are unable to argue against you call them a surfer and tell them to fuck off. Almost every time.

Zounds! The irony.

That's the part you aren't really seeing in all of this.

See, that's the part that gets me so riled up. Not only have we been attacked on all sides, watched people losing their jobs, companies cutting back on everything, watching my affiliate work deteriorate because I can't sell memberships to sites that are available for free...but then we have to catch grief from people who SHOULD be on our side in this fight.

It just makes me shake my head at the thought process from some of you.

abso-fucking-lutely TRUE:2 cents:

its amazing how many people talk about "adapting to piracy," "working the piracy boards" "working in THEIR system"...what a load of horse shit!
yes that's the way to go, cater to the LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR....NOT!

The only idea here is to DESTROY piracy, or at the very least HOBBLE it to the point where makes no significant dent in sales from legitimate companies, leading to the final point where it is seen as a PARIAH in all societies.

Right now millions of people simply do it, they don't think about it, they just do it as part of their everyday lives. These lawsuits aimed at users will make them think about what they are doing:2 cents:

Why do the same guys come in, thread after thread, to slam on those trying to protect their content?

Everyone should just mind their own business, assuming any of you actually have one. I'm sure that 95% of those opposing such action have no dog in the fight to begin with.

Here is the difference between guys like you and the people who are taking action... they act. They stopped crying about it and adapted. Considering you are even in the business at all (not sure why you need to hide behind a nick if you are), you will be happy they are trying to something, even if the dent is small, it is still better than doing nothing, which you clearly want them to do.

One step at a time, one law suit at a time, one pirate at a time. If that's what it takes, then that's what it takes. Leaders go the distance and make change, haters hate, and followers follow once the leaders have paved the road for them.

I am dumbfounded at the nics coming out of the shadows to kick the guys (the guys who actually own something and don't hide behind nics) for taking action against thieves who have stolen their property. It really is amazing. I'd bet almost all of you who oppose, don't even own intellectual property yourself.

lol if you think that's leading you have lost it man. it's a reactionary move against larger technological, societal and economic trends from people who have stopped being innovative and creative years ago.

profoundly stupid statement.

i don't know what you do exactly in this biz, but if you were aware of the really creative companies/studios getting ripped off by these pirate assholes then you wouldn't post a comment like this.

now i will back this up.

Girlfriends Films. JM Productions. Abby Winters. Evil Angel. Image Video.

Shall I go on? There are many more than this to be sure, but all of these companies kick ass in innovation and creativity in the adult biz.

That being said, theft is theft regardless.
Whether you make mediocre content or great content.

Brother, I lost it a LONG time ago. :1orglaugh

It is taking action in an industry where the majority is sitting on its ass. Call it want you want, but those who are doing it are... doing it. If it works, EVERYONE will follow.

Porn is a business of followers. Always has been. And the masses will follow again as soon as word officially gets out that this is profitable. If you think for a second that businesses who bang cards, deceive consumers, don't pay webmasters, put minors or stolen content on their sites, won't jump all over this the moment they know they can make a single dollar, you are mistaken. The bad part is, this will eventually get abused by those very people.

Indeed.

The amount of black children stealing assault weapons is simply appalling. We need to put a stop to that. :upsidedow
