Colombia: I've traveled a lot in Colombia, and LOVE Cali's countryside, but the violence there is more than I can withstand. Right now I'm in Cancun, Mexico, and the reason I want to move is the insecurity.

I'm looking for tepid to warm weather, a place where the govt doesn't mess with you, safe and where porn is legal. Does that exist?

Wow mate that's exactly what i'm looking for ! I'm in the same boat as you.

Norway usually gets voted as "the best country to live in" every year :thumbsup

I made a similar thread a few days ago.

I think uruguay is worth a look. The effective tax rate is very low but they still seem to have a decent health service. Real estate is cheap. They have some wonderful beaches. Like Argentina and Chile, it's basically a European country, only cheaper.

I'm worried about living in the EU with the constant feminazi bitch leglislation. A couple of people have mentioned Germany as a great place to live, and it is, but from what I know you won't survive more than a few weeks there if you have an adult website. And it's only a matter of time before the EU brings in such laws everywhere.

sunny democratic country with low $ for living and good internet and laws, hmmm Siera Leone ? :D

What more can I say. If you enjoy crappy weather, horrible food, and constant interaction with prisoners, addicts, drunks, thieves, small time village gangsters, and other assorted lowlifes then this is the place for you....... just remember to bring a box cutter so that you will fit in. :)

Hi Fabien, i dont have any pics, but just go into places like encuentra24.com click on colombia and check their big time properties for around 100k.. we're talking about extreme luxury here, and the internet is perfect.. i went there for some time and had 4 mb connection, pretty stable

Hi Inabon, im in Panama too... Boquete its pretty cool but sometimes gets boring

Probono 10-02-2010 05:50 PM

If you like Latin America I can recommend Panama. Boquete is great as long as you are a self entertainer.

brassmonkey 10-02-2010 06:01 PM

off topics did you post your braids yet??

baddog 10-02-2010 08:00 PM

I have been to a lot of neat places, but none I would move to. I like right where I am.

fuzebox 10-02-2010 09:23 PM

I'm tired of the third world. Five years ago I thought I would never leave, now I can't wait to get back to North America...

After visiting Amsterdam last month it seems like a place I'd want to try living.

And that is why they will be introduced EU wide within 5 years.

Better change buisness or start investigating South America.

BTW, the grandparents of those Germans passed laws that resulted in 6 million Jews (inc. over 1 million kids) being butchered.. in order 'to protect children'.

Quite a nice concept.

Not.

xxweekxx 10-03-2010 02:15 AM

dont move to colombia, yeah the girls are hot, weather is decent, life is cheap, but life will get boring soon and you'll find yourself coming back to america every month cuz u miss it here.. its kinda like panama, its a nice country, but after a while there you realize that life is just passing you by, and its still not "home", and a lot of shit will frustrate you.. including language and bureaucracy

Fabien 10-03-2010 06:08 AM

Hummmm interesting. Where were you living ? I want to make sure i don't buy something close to it hehehehehehe (if i ever decide to go there that is) Which place do you recommend seriously (in that country) ?

Thanks

Chosen 10-03-2010 06:43 AM

yeah, 'Dam is great. but it's sort of a bubble. i'm burnt out on the rest of western Europe (it's really changed in the past 10 years), i really doubt i'll ever go back again, except directly to the Netherlands.

to answer the question, i won't leave Canada until i am too old to snowboard. British Columbia is just too good. of everywhere i've traveled, my 2nd pick would be to move to s.e. asia. in particular, Laos. Vientiane is a place i could actually live. cheap like borscht, ultra friendly people, great food, heavy french influence (from buildings to food to wine). tons of ex-pats as well.

Quoted for truth. I have lots of friends who will never leave here because they are content to just relax and live a low-expectations lifestyle... I need the people around me to move at my pace. Hell, I just wish I could live in the USA.

I love it and could live there quite easily but alot of distractions, if you smoke weed, you'll find yourself caning it and really shitty weather 6 months a year, worse than UK weather which can be pretty horrible.

I've lived there twice and both times my Spanish wife has got seriously depressed in the winters, and we had to move so if you're used to seeing the sun even just once between the months of October and April don't live there.

It's not like snowy mountain cold its damp and grey.

Laos is pretty fucking awesome!
You wont find a cheaper massage (that you would want) on this planet.
Great food, nice people, good location.
