If the media was so liberal why was it the national enquirer that outted Rush for being a druggie and not the NY times when they all knew about it.
Bush was a coke fiend and a drunk until into his forties and the media only spoke about gore saying he created the internet.
MSNBC bashes Obama all the time, you never heard W's press sec talking about those right wing pundits not playing ball like you heard about the left.

The Myth of the Liberal Media: The Propaganda Model of News

The press has been cherry picking stories and leaving out things and highlighting others all the time, but I believe that they are bias. If you watch Fox, you're not going to get a liberal slant on things, you will hear from liberal commentators, but thats as far as it goes and when you listen to MSNBC, you're less likely to hear Obama's name in connection with failures.
I watch news on several channels, it's funny how they bash each other. And when they do, O'Reilly Plays those clips on his show.

My favorite thing to watch on Fox News? Watching the O'Reilly Factor with guest Jon Stewart.

I saw that pic posted on RedState... look at it... first thing I noticed was that the shadows (and lack of debris) indicate that it was taken early in the morning before the event was started. I will, however, grant that there were probably more people at Becks rally... but I wouldn't say many less. I watched the event on CSPAN while I was working yesterday afternoon and there were alot of people there... the whole mall was filled.

IllTestYourSquirrels is taking such a beating here you guys... ease up a little people...

IllTestYourGirls 10-03-2010 01:30 PM

Take a look for yourself. See picture 12. No one showed up.

Just about the whole right side (of picture 12 is empty) Just like the picture I posted.

Now lets take a look at the Beck rally.

So there you have it. :1orglaugh

So which rally was more successful?

IllTestYourGirls 10-03-2010 01:36 PM

Wait, next you are going to tell me all the people on the right side of the picture were wearing all green and they just blended in.

IllTestYourGirls 10-03-2010 01:42 PM

" but thats as far as it goes and when you listen to MSNBC, you're less likely to hear Obama's name in connection with failures."

not even close to true, the big difference is between msnbc you will hear about people being critical of the president for real things not bullshit like death panels. They are very very critical of the president he is not liberal at all. They feel very screwed. If I had a dollar for everytime Ed Schultz says the dems have to grow a backbone,I would have a large stack of money.

Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc are all businesses looking to make a profit. None of their reporting can be considered fair or balanced.

A little different angle but it sure looks like more people than the pic above

This is the picture used by THE HUFFINGTON POST to show the size of the crowd. Are you saying the Huffington Post wants to show the attendance as smaller?

The pictures you show are the type of pictures people use when no one shows up to a rally. The over heads tell the whole story.

even if we assume thats true its a lot easier to get people out to a 'rally' when they are pissed off than some kind of peaceful 'one nation' type event. i also think its pretty funny that you called it 'one world', like you are trying to insinuate that its some kind of nwo type event.

ha I didnt even know what people were talking about until I reread the OP. I was thinking Nation when I typed "world". I did not mean anything buy it. I think Disney has a "One World" campaign going right now.

Sorry for the fuck up :thumbsup

As far as peaceful? LMAO I watched about half an hour of the rally all I heard was the speaker blaming bush blaming the republicans and demanding free housing for everyone.

IllTestYourGirls 10-03-2010 05:31 PM

For the record I was hoping there would be 500k people there to shut Beck the fuck up. But now you will see him gloat until Nov 2nd.

herd mentality is human nature.

hard to knock people for being human.

ilnjscb 10-03-2010 07:21 PM

It was also a beautiful day and the mall is always super crowded. About 1 in 10 people had those red shirts on, many of the rest in that long shot are just tourists; the Wash monument is right behind that shot.

Beck touted his event for over 9 months, while the One Nation Working Together rally, only started organizing around three months prior to their event...

However, these events shouldn't be measured by size alone, they should be measured by substance, and the liberal event clearly won on that count, since the Beck/Palin/Tea Party crowd not only is dividing the nation, they are dividing the Republican Party, whereas the One Nation Working Together coalition is trying to bring diverse groups of concerned working-class Americans together to move this nation forward.

According to the One Nation organizers they were planning the event BEFORE the Beck event.

From what I saw of the One Nation rally it was blaming republicans, blaming tea partiers, demanding more free things. It was pretty hate filled. Once one speaker started demanding free housing for everyone I turned off the tv.

Just speaking the truth. By the way who was the speaker demanding free housing? And why were you even watching it?

I dont know the speakers name. Some African American guy. I was watching it to see what it was all about. I was hoping to see something more than blaming and demanding free things. But thats all I saw. Maybe the rest of the rally was different, I dont know.

Gouge 10-04-2010 02:04 PM

My god this shit is painful to watch...where was everyone? I thought you would have heard that crowd roaring from miles away :1orglaugh

I see you fools are STILL playing the 2-party game lol...

Red telling Blue that MSNBC is bad and Blue telling Red that FOX News is bad, when THEY ARE BOTH CORRUPT AS FUCK AND PUSHING THE SAME AGENDAS. I don't know why you idiots haven't figured it out yet...

Now back to your pointless left vs. right paradigm... have fun...
