We can only hope. It's just a shame good guys have to be taken down in the process.

Your service is the best i ever had...maybe 2nd best.

Honestly, I've had zero downtime using your network. Granted, I colo my own box that consumes about 200mbps but not once has the network its on gone down. The only other place i liked more than your network was my friends and that is only because i got free rack space and the ability to walk into the DC whenever i wanted.

If anyone is looking for a new host, i highly recommend Spudster + YellowFiber!

nobody told you? you're only "in" the industry starting form the time you created your gfy account.

rowan 10-19-2010 10:04 PM

One thing I don't understand. If the "damage" to servers is only logical, ie some sectors overwritten, then the hardware is fine. Why would RCN customers need to move to ISPrime when their existing servers are sitting there waiting to be restored?

Don't act dumb. He was in the industry "since the dinosaurs roamed the earth", joined gfy in sept, has 3 posts, and came in on page 9 to talk about how some host is good. YEA, COINCIDENCE. He's not a fake nick or linked by the guy owning yellowfiber, NOWAY. I hate hidden spamming. If you wanna advertise your services, at least have the decency to do it on your own name.
I got some brides for sale, want to buy? your warez made you good money, my bridges are cheap.

Listen, If I was to make a fake nick and spam the forum I would come up with something better than that.

No its not me making a fake nick. We have lots of customers that are on this forum and yes I know who that customer is who posted it.

If you continue to think that I came on here and created spam saying how great we are you are sadly mistaken. No I didn't send anyone links saying HEY SPAM US! That is not how we operate. So please enlighten me.

gleem 10-20-2010 07:30 AM

@Spudstr & others: Fuck all of you who are spamming this thread with psuedo well wishing, and double fuck you to the ones that get into arguments about your spam and thread jack a very useful post for people that don't get email updates about their fucking lost servers and rely on this thread for news.

My news is ISPrime has been saying "We have your backups and are bringing your box online now" and that was Tuesday at 6 pm, still nothing up on the 1 free site server I have still no service for.

How much total down time have you had now?

Houdini 10-20-2010 09:24 AM

What email or icq are you guys using to contact RCN? My account with RCN is a shared server and ISPrime doesn't do those. Guess I need to find out if they even have backups. This sucks.

well, call me stupid but i have just found out that all domains were-are working on my virtual hosting. i thought they should be offfline since i wasnt able to use ftp nor to login into admin panel.
probably most of domains on virtual hosting werent affected by this situation.

You're lucky. My account is a virtual, but all my sites are down.

We have been working around the clock to restore customers and are happy to report that progress is being made and is speeding up.

Our primary goal right now is to ensure our customers get their sites up as soon as possible, or get access to their data.

We are ready to restore more customers and have two queues. Please e-mail your account name to:

or
[email protected] to get access to your data

demon666777 10-21-2010 03:49 AM

I have email them 2 days ago and still not receive the login to get my backup :(
so after paying long time for backup Im now almost 1 week without access to my data

I hope that someone who will in future buy on them "server with backup" visit before that this thread

demon666777 10-21-2010 04:05 AM

and the worst is that this people from RCN have not tell me honestly how long it could take to recover server or get access to backup, more - they off ICQ and answer nothing to my question's

if they told me that it could be takes 1 week or more I can on the next day some important for me domains run on other server from my local backup, not hoping they fix server in 1 -2 days

SGx 10-21-2010 07:43 AM

exactly the same situation as yours

I m going to get my lawyer on this, because this is getting really serious.

madawgz 10-21-2010 07:49 AM

geez what a disaster. i wonder what % is back online by now.

SNRProductions 10-21-2010 01:19 PM

I check it a few times a day to see if there's anything, but other than the "We are stable...," posted the other day, nothing has been updated. Unfortunately, they're not responding to emails right now either.
