UK use to be a country that would punish people for their crimes, you would get hund and then quartred but now you kill someone you go in for 14 year and come out in 7 back down the pub

So while in 50 years time the UK middle class gets fucked up the ass, in India the middle class gets stronger and therefore the country should catch up on all fronts

I think China will take the edge in Asia within 50 years but India will definetly be a totally different place with many of our life times.

Also I think the British fucked up by ruining the last empire in India (which did control alot of Afghanistan which no other outsider has been able to do uptill today) and giving Muslims Pakistan........ what did this do? Parts of Afhganistan were under Indian rule, this got lost and then Pakistan 100 years later becomes a terrort haven - well done!

India as a whole will advance, but the social gap will just divide even more over time, a small portion will keep advancing and crawl out of the slums over generations and live in nice cities or parts of cities, the other 900 million will live in shit conditions. There is now way they going to be able to move that many people up. I don't see them ever really have much of a middle class. Unless people making $2 an hour count as middle class.
