Capitalism inherently works. Socialism doesn't.

Same as getting a Republican in as President, natural things happen... Republics work, Dictatorship type control doesn't.

P.S. You can have Capitalism and be a Socialist Country, they work perfectly fine together.

Haha I love it. Not "Lets fix the economy". Not "Lets work together". Not "We disagree with XYZ and here's what we want to do". Simply, only, to kick him out. Republicans and tea baggers need not even hide who they are anymore.

ah-ha, so the secret to getting people to vote is allowing them to do so by phone (for a small charge, naturally:thumbsup).

He's kinda useless without both a democrat controlled house and senate to back him up

He made the phrase to the GOP after he won " I WON "
Google it

Now the GOP is saying that

He made that statement some time ago...as have other Republicans. In addition some of the Republican leaders have stated that their agenda will be the same as it has always been.

That's what they've been doing for the past 2 years. Don't worry about the country or your citizens, but just oppose absolutely everything (even when they're your own ideas). Do everything in your power to bring the government to a standstill, then blame it all on Obama and Democrats.

It worked too! Just look at the election results.

Don't expect fuck all to get done within the government over the next 2 years. Military will get funding to take care of the troops, but other than that, you're probably on your own. Republicans won't let anything pass, wait it out until 2012, regain control of all three branches, then drive the US into the ground even more.

OK preventative is a good word. I didn't know how to prevent my cancer, but early detection would of been good. The two things go together. IMO

first of all that's an untrue statement. 50% like "obama care" of the 50% don't the reason is that is doesn't go FAR enough. In other words they want MORE "government" not less. So 75% don't want it repealed. Of the 25% that do half of those actually like what's in the bill once they are actually made aware of what's in the bill. The biggest beef about the bill is the mandatory insurance part which I'm sure Obama would repeal. Other than that nohting really wrong with it? What you think sick kids should be denied insurance and left to die?

it would make more sense if the republicans have a health care plan.
You know republicans controlled the congress and the white house from 2001-2007. So why didn't they come up with healthcare reform then? They could have had the EXACT plan they wanted. 6 years an ZERO reform? Why? Because they don't give a shit about those that can't afford health care.

Yes that's good for the country. To do NOTHING so your side can win in 2012. What makes them think Americans will vote GOP in 2012 if things aren't different? The voted GOP this time because they felt not enough was being done by the democrats the last 2 years. So why would 2 years of republicans doing nothing to help this country mean republicans getting elected? Not even remotely logical. The voters will simply vote out all those teabaggers that promise all this change and delviere NOTHING. Saying you "stopped" Obama is not going to be enough in 2012. The people demand RESULTS. Stopping "something" from possibly happening is not as good as tangible result, like creating jobs or improving the economy.

the simple fact is if one voted out a dem in 2010 because they didn't have a job and in 2012 they still don't have a job then that republican who promised jobs is getting voted out. PERIOD.

[I?ve] been hesitant to make too much of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell?s statement a few days ago that ?the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.? It seemed over the top, like something McConnell said off the cuff, in the heat of battle, and probably regretted. ...

is for President Obama to be a one-term president quote
That quote ?the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.? was all over the news the other day ...

Well, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is entitled to set his agenda ? since he has declared his intentions to be those of hostile opposition ? he should expect that also from his opponents.

Let the gridlock begin ...
