This is fucking hilarious...rather than get upset at MSNBC for firing Olbermann or simply taking it in stride that Olbermann broke their company policy (which he did), people are finding reasons to point fingers at Fox somehow for this? How is that even possible in this case? What does ANYTHING happening at MSNBC have to do with Fox? Fox News is gh3y but jesus, you people are trying to take jabs at them for something that didn't even involve them in the slightest. That would be like pointing fingers at Fox for CNN firing Sanchez, or NPR firing what's-his-face. How in any way is Fox responsible for the decisions of other entities? |

At the end of the year when Comcast gets full control of NBC Universal and the major changes happen at MSNBC somehow, someway the start will align themselves and people will still blame Fox News...im calling it now 2 months in advance. |

Seriously though, what's the difference between anchors that support a particular party all day long with their words/actions and anchors that support a particular party with money? Does supporting them with money somehow trump the fact that they incite/reaffirm the views behind such support all day long on TV? What difference is there? Seriously, I'm all ears on this one. It's not like Olbermann woke up and suddenly changed from being an objective news personality to being a subjective one with this contribution. They didn't fire Olbermann the moment he showed clear liberal bias, they fired him for making what is honestly an inconsequential contribution of money to a party. If you want to pat them on the back for having that policy or for sticking to their guns and enforcing the policy even on someone like Olbermann even on an inconsequential sum of moeny, then I can understand that, but to act like they are being altruistic and proving non-bias with the policy and/or its enforcement is ludicrous. People like you hound Fox News for their "fair and balanced" bs (and rightfully so)...how can you possibly read more into this other than they have a particular policy which really has no bearing on how biased they are, someone broke that policy and got fired? |

I for one make enough money to support myself, but in the past 3 years most of my family has lost their jobs and/or seen their own ventures go to shit, and I'm juggling supporting myself with helping to support them, which all of a sudden makes me struggling despite making a decent amount of money. It's led to having to make difficult decisions on where to cut my own spending, which is what the government really needs to do instead of let this ridiculous "neverending" well continue to flow. I haven't seen much of Rand Paul, but if his father can instill enough sense into him, maybe having Ron Paul and a Ron Paul Lite in politics will help get the nation closer to making the right decisions for the economy to recover. |

Of course he doesn't see the error in reinstituting tax on "rich" people that are, like the rest of us, doing horrible right now relative to 3+ years ago. Fuck the rich, they do nothing for their money and hard-working welfare recipients deserve it instead, right Slutboat? |

Predictions if the repugs get back in:
- War with Iran looking for 'weapons of mass destruction' - Possibly war with Pakistan - More hand holding with Saudi tycoons - The next actor/politician leader they choose will rack up ANOTHER 7 TRILLION in debt like George W did. - More tax cuts for the rich - The world 'gives up' on the US - Removal of more regulations, leading to another GFC, massive oil spills, massive environmental damage - Religion interferes with govt - Loss of rationality as religious nutters attack science and intellectuals. |
