Paypal has a black list on credit cards. If you lost your paypal account, any credit card you used and added to paypal when you had your account will then become black listed. They may have another reason why they are blocking the cc transaction also. They may have began the proceedings to shut down your account as well.
Paypal Blows, just type your story on paypalblows.org it will get all around and let people know your story. Paypal will eventually die out. I do some consultation on the side with people through ICQ to show them how to ween themselves off of Payscum and get their own merchant account. Paypal's policies are there for a very good reason - to protect Paypal. You and everyone else here should aleady know what happens to processors and money movers when they let their policies lapse. They are right, you are wrong.
The bottom line is, you have to work within Paypal's policies if you want to use them. If you don't or can't handle their policies, don't complain about them. Find another (and perhaps riskier) processor to work with. |

Actually, we were ALL wrong about the cause of the problem and it took me half the night to figure it out! Nothing wrong with the card, nothing wrong with the amount, nothing wrong with any of the info provided to Paypal to attempt to pay.
It's the country in which the guy is located........................maybe............. Fooled all of us, Paypal did but thanks to those who offered possible solutions. |

I can feel your pain about this. I've had it happen to me twice now. I have had someone try to send me a Pay Pal and he just paid his employees with a credit card, but then when he went to pay me, it wouldn't let him which was really odd. He was all paranoid because he thought I was having problems or doing something no good. All the while I was getting in Pay Pals from other people and when I called, they said my account was perfectly fine and they said that they'll never stop a transfer if the funds are available.
What I had to do in the other case was have someone send the funds to another person, than that person sent them to me, I have no idea how to explain that one. |

If all else failed I think I'd probably just get the guy's street address and MAIL him a cheque.

The only time in 10 years with PP that I had a sending payments issue was a few months back & that involved a temporary block on Indian receiving accounts (which is the country all my coders/programmers come from). I dunno why PP decided to do this but they did send out emails about the issue and a few weeks later it was back to normal.

I used only cc's and then removed a couple that were no longer used and my available sending limit dropped like a rock. Kept telling me to validate account with a bank and I would have no limit.
So I did... Now when I want to pay with my card associated with my bank (the debit/credit card) it won't let me (just not an option... greyed out, I need to validate that card with another card), only by etransfer via my bank that I used to verify my account to remove sending limit and can take up to 3 days. Fuckwads! |
