We (the US) have never left S. Korea. I think there are still 25,000 troops stationed there. I'm not sure what would be so funny about a potentially world ending war between the US and China.

Doesn't matter - they can't be used. The two countries are small to begin with and share a common border. If NK nuked SK, the fallout would hurt them just as much.

I was stationed at Osan AB ROK from Dec1990 - April 1991. I can assure you that if the US Gov feels that US soldiers all over South Korea are in danger, the US will react and not be light about it.
