10 blogs is plenty if you go the quality route, but you decided how much time you have and can to spend.

My self I am more of a volume blogging guy but I do have some that are daily updated and taken care of much more than others.

I tried linkspun. Although you may get some useless, non-organic incoming links, I have not found one site there that I would choose to link to.

organize your links and this will assist you in creating a hardlink network that you can work a-b-c-d trades with. As the relevance of your blogs climbs in the SEs, you can also generate income by selling some hardlinks.

By trying to generate income with just 1 strategy (sales), you are closing yourself off to other means of income (prepaid placements).

I love you, Sherm, but I will never buy anything from a site that looks like a cheap clickbank reject. That shit is not neccesary.

I don't think, anyone has mentioned this, but you have no calls to action on the blogs I looked at.
You are trusting your surfers to click on the picture rather than telling them they need to click on a link.
Some surfers need to be told. So link to the sponsor on each of your posts (preferably the tour) and make the link bold :)

I've just spend almost all day adding all my sites to linkspun, so I hope it is not useless :)

Yea don't bother submitting if you're using your own domains. You won't even get a denial email confirmation. Free links for him! It's bullshit.

I have had every blog (on my own domains) submitted to Twan approved...

Of course there is lots of shit but there are good trades too, I do them all the time.

That's interesting. It's good for you. My blogs are handwritten, quality and clean. I'm not sure why he doesn't list all of them. I havn't bothered emailing him either as I prefer just doing trades now.

What is that?

So after some time I would like to inform you on my progress with ideas from this thread
1. started to trade links on linkspun, but most of the trades there are not very good, huge amount of PR0 sites there
2. installed wordpress multisite and creating blogs now on my own domain
3. started to sell links with no success so far :)

So far my income is still the same, hop it will get better soon.

why do you waste your time with free hosted blogs... many people don't trade links with free hosted sites.

CurrentlySober 12-17-2010 03:47 AM

i like $1000 a month

Now I make blogs on subdomains on my own domain, I had no idea that something like wordpress multisite exists, if I knew I would not build so many blogs on free host.

If you want to get good link trades then use one domain per site.

Google adsense pays about 1 cent per visitor. Not every visitor clicks on the ads, but about every 1/25 will click on a 25 cent ad, about 1/50 will click on a 50 cent ad etc etc...hence about 1 cent per visitor.

$1000 a month means only 100,000 visitors a month. Even if you do half of that...at least you're halfway there.

adsense doesn't accept adult websites....

I wouldn't be so obsessed with the pr of trading partners. You're just starting out and you are mostly on free hosted blogs right now. I suggest going for quality in other ways such as relevancy and placement.

While putting blogs on your own subdomains is better than using freehosts, you will get far more people wanting to trade with you if you make your blogs on their own domains.

You can use BlogsOrganizer to manage your blogs across multiple domains/hosts.

Of course, all this means you will have to spend more money, but it's worth it.

Good luck.

As has been said, write quality, original content for every post.

NEVER use the copy supplied, hundreds (if not thousands) of others have done exactly the same.

Check what makes a sponsor interesting. If they focus on a fetish/niche they might not even know it.

Consider who is searching for that niche and write for the largest audience.

Check Google Keyword tools and find the first low competition/high search vol term related to that niche and stick with it for every relevant post.

Check these keywords regularly and write accordingly, altering your target once every three months.
