I have a tumblr blog for a over 2 years, not a single issue there.

You can not put ads there and do not be too spammy.

Your blog has to look natural, no spammy links and ads everywhere.

It looks like you have done something wrong.

However, tumblr is a social network. So--like twitter--you have to have a good balance of content & spam vs. socializing with other blogs outside of your own. Otherwise, you just look like another affiliate site. Tone down the banner farms and hide your links WITHIN the content. It may help to purchase a blog template or two. It shows you have actually contributed to their service, where others may not have. Make your blog blend in with all of the freeloaders. Participate, encourage your viewers to submit to you or ask questions (answer them, of course). Participate, participate, participate! I have yet to have one of my tumblr blogs shut down (knock on wood).

There is one wordpress plugin which automatically post the links (with pictures from the posts) on the social media sites, like tumblr, twitter.

It works perfect, I post some post and then they are immediately with pictures there, I have gained in this way a thousands of followers with minimum time.

Not very clued up on tumblr so this has been a very useful thread.

My favourite part of Tumblr's TOS is:

"...go nuts. Show your nuts..."

It's rare for a large scale host to explicitly permit uses which are often skirted around with ambiguous definitions in the TOS.

Still not clear on how 18USC2257 applies to Tumblr. Don't see many Custodian of Records notes on Tumblr pages.

I know somebody who started a SINGLE tumbler in late 2014. Today she has about 5000 followers and growing now by about 1000 per month... She works very hard at it and of course posts a bit of pictures from my site...:thumbsup the reward is already felt, I get about ONE converted customer/day.

Now, why would anybody have many tumblers just to spam the same site ( or group of sites) ? In any business this would be called a Ponzi scheme.... But in porn is just the way to do business .... ??? a.k.a. In 60 pieces of shit maybe you find one undigested nut....Now, even if I was hungry I would not eat that nut because its still wrapped in shit :2 cents:

Tumblr and especially twitter are driving some nice traffic to my adult sites. The hard work absolutely pays off but still you have to remember to not put all eggs in one basket.

Tumblr traffic is massive and good for testing sites. But low converting. You need to offer them huge discount or "free porn" in order to convert something. (That's my case)

Like I said before, Tumblr's adult blogs are indexed by Google and there is nothing in the robots text file that blocks the search engines from indexing them.

Maybe he/she has changed the url, who knows. I have a several few years old accounts and never had any issues. Just do not post any affiliate links, any ads, post content and post links to your sites but not on every post.
