IMO, the write up sounds like an informercial. It's good for newbies, but that's about it. Don't hate me for my opinion.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the intent of the article was a starting point, so if anyone had questions [as you obviously do] they can ask them. There is even a special forum for it so you can ask more follow up questions. :2 cents:

I didn't know I had questions. What are they?

I gave my opinion, and in my opinion, it was an infomercial. An ad. A plug. :2 cents:

Are people who buy tangible goods from your store more likely to come back to you for more? So you make more in the long run than on the average paysite membership.

Anybody got information on cross promotions for a diffrent (non tangible) product? Like adding flyers to promote websites (use this code for a 25% discount type of stuff)

So it wasn't more than an informercial indeed huh.

Good to know...

informative article

are there more coming? how can I post in this section? I'm assuming it's heavily moderated. where are the rules?

The thing about diversification is this - don't put all your eggs in one basket. Just think about what kind of different businesses you can do.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay...

Tangible goods are safer purchases in consumers eyes so in theory yes they would typically spend more and more often. Consumers who are happy with their purchases and who have a quick, efficient and pleasant buying experience will certainly return for more products when you offer something they like. Sending buyers discount coupons via email is a great way to get people to come back.

If you live in Europe with the majority of customers in the USA, you got a problem.
I've sold tangible goods and it did not at all work out. The monopoly on shipping prices was killing it.

But it was worth it.

The pleasure is ours. This article it’s just as important now as it was when we posted it 14 years ago. A lot of merchants have tried to use Stripe or Square under the radar and have been turned off because they do not accept adult tangible products. We’re happy to help if anyone needs assistance being set up properly.

Adult related merchant accounts and processing are our specialt!

Mitch
