Sweet, Obama's a normal guy, with a hobby, that also likes American things. Neat... not sure why that is included with other World issues, seems a bit lame.

dyna mo 03-15-2011 02:17 PM

did you really think the radiation would stop so could give his picks?

TopbucksMatt 03-15-2011 02:23 PM

Stupid Obama, we all know that United States Presidents ( with the exception of Carter ) can fix nuclear reactors.

thickcash_amo 03-15-2011 03:55 PM

Glad to know his priorities are straight :disgust

Yeah, because he doesn't have anyone else taking care of anything, he's totally a one man show. And in that 10 minutes he took to do his picks, he could have solved the Japan crisis and the others across the World... he totally dropped the ball. :helpme

The USS Ronald Reagan is sailing further out to sea to aviod radiation from Japan, several countries are in civil disarray, people are falling off the 99 weeks of unemployment, glad the POTUS can ignore all that long enough to make his picks for a basketball game!

You actually think every second of every day, he should be working on the issues? He isn't focused on everything all the time, anyway - always someone else 'actually' doing the work on everything, every issues, everything...

Should he not be allowed to take a break, like the rest of us, like every ceo, like every person working does, because he's the President? It's not like he took a 3 month vacation to his ranch, he's still at the office, he just took a quick break outside.

Truly... you guys need to dial the hate down, it reached pathetic long ago.

I'll just raise the question... what exactly has he done so far? Change, he preached... change in what exactly? Where is it? Oh, right, it's in the pockets of the bankers.

Rochard 03-15-2011 05:55 PM

Can I ask a dumb question here? This is a Japanese problem, not an American problem. Why is the United States expected to fix this?

Are these serious questions? How about getting out and reading up.

He has lived up to more campaign promises than any other President, all easily to verify facts btw. Lots of things have changed too, our economy quit falling, jobs quit falling, markets turned around, companies have more money than every in history... it's not like he can make Corps hire, for sure when they have plenty of money to do so and simply aren't doing it.

Bankers? Bush bailed the banks out. Obama's stimulus wasn't used for banks. Actually, not even all of Obama's stimulus was used, as the States couldn't manage the funds/products correctly.

In short, he's done so much it's pissed half the Country off... while the other half waits for him to do even more.

You would think they would rejoice every time he quit working... he can't screw anything up then. Heck, it's not like if he did something, they would agree with what he did either... without question, they bitch to bitch - that's all it is.

Most people here hating on Obama, can't explain why they actually hate him or why they where hating on him, before he even started. Oh sure, everyone can find a few things they don't like that he did, or said or an action he took - but they can't explain the hate for him or they say something stupid, like the birth excuse.

Unlike Bush... Most of us here that hate Bush, can list 100's of unique, very defined reasons, very very very clear reasons why.

I'm not sure where you've been.. but the only, I say again the only reason the economy looks to be recovering as of right now is because of all the money he continues to print. And the only reason he can continue to print this money is because the US dollar is the world's reserve currency. This will not last forever, and as soon as the US Dollar loses that spot, our economy will crumble to record lows, and the US Dollar won't be worth the paper it's printed on.

Look through history at every other country who has tried this "print more money to boost economy" tactic. Notice one thing they all have in common... the tactic failed.

Here's a nice graphical presentation of the projected deficit by the time obama gets done... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...032100104.html

He does the Presidents job, daily... which includes a lot more than just working on the issues, a President does a lot of things. You can check his daily schedule below for a brief history.. he's been rather busy and hasn't taken any type of actual break. Not sure where you got that info from, but it's completely incorrect.

If we were actually printing money that would be one thing... but when we borrow money, we don't print it too... and we haven't been doing bailouts or stimulus stuff in a long time, at that the stimulus wasn't even very big.

And our Country is gaining in strength... as the rest the eco balances out to ours. We sneeze, the world gets a cold. You remove our dollar as the standard, you take out the largest buying power in the world from people to corporations - it will never happen.

And if you're going to play in the conspiracy game... at least recognize that the fed reserve, banks and world banks and all economies of the world are one system. It fails because they make it fail - no other reasons, no amount of printing of money changes that...

Let's see if you continue to think this way once the US Dollar loses it's spot as the reserve currency. It's going to happen, much sooner than later. Do some research on how many other countries are doing everything they can to get rid of their US dollars, and how many other countries are looking for a new currency to trade oil in.

I can give you a number of reasons why I dislike this administration, but will only go with the most significant.

It was the way and the timing the healthcare bill was passed. The economy, was in terrible shape as we all are painfully aware. The administration essentially told the republicans to get to the back of the bus.

That act galvanized the country. While the government should've been working together and getting the country moving in the right direction they are at war with each other. And we all know they will be until 2012.

It is all the same, if it is Printed or borrowed.

One thing that graph shows, is Obama isn't responsible for the spike... it happened just before and as he came in, and as he corrected the war budgets, we saw the after effects of the previous 8 years of war.

On the other subject, if borrowing money vs. printing money was the same, it would still be going up, as we haven't slowed down on borrowing... but being that we aren't printing more and are able to cycle money out of the economy, it starts to hit various up and down peaks.

Obama campaigned on healthcare, with roaring crowds to back him.... and if you want to help repair the economy for the future, you tackle one of the largest costs to the Gov, the States and the People FIRST. Other Presidents did nothing or very little, and we can see where that got us.

Then tell the Republicans to stop being a bunch of bitches and work with the what the people are screaming for rather than force feeding them fear and lies, like death panels.

Tell the Democrats to stop doing the very same thing when republicans are in control... every time this comes up I get a solid laugh at the sheer ignorance of people when it comes to politics. Here's a fact for you, when dems want something, reps go against it... when reps want something, dems go against it. It's a stupid game of sibling rivalry (so to speak) and those of you who like to play the blame game seriously need to educate yourselves.

PS. I'm neither dem nor rep, nor do I give myself any political party label... so don't go assuming

Bush got a ton of shit passed, with zero problems at all.... yeah a few things got bound up, which is typical but they sure as hell didn't stone wall him.

The Rep's want to block everything, veto and undo everything, shut the entire gov down, hell in some States they're blocking Dem votes - this isn't equal at any level.

I'm not a Dem btw... and it doesn't take more than a micro second to see this is way freaking different.
