Would you circumcise your kid?

Most doctors say it's about 50/50 now-a-days.

With a kid on the way the question has been coming up.

INever 04-20-2011 10:22 AM

If they're against it in San Francisco, it's probably ok to go ahead and do it.

96ukssob 04-20-2011 10:33 AM

digitalfantasies 04-20-2011 10:35 AM

That makes 0 sense and is complete bullshit. Post facts.

Any parent who mutilates their kids should be thrown in jail.

No it doesn't... You have no facts stupid. You can take all day if you want.

"Ignorant" is thinking it makes any difference ie what YOU think. You dont wash your cock cut or not you're going to have problems.

digitalfantasies 04-20-2011 10:51 AM

and here we are..

Male Circumcision and Risk for HIV Transmission

Several types of research have documented that male circumcision significantly reduces the risk of HIV acquisition by men during penile-vaginal sex.

Biologic Plausibility

Compared with the dry external skin surface, the inner mucosa of the foreskin has less keratinization (deposition of fibrous protein), a higher density of target cells for HIV infection (Langerhans cells), and is more susceptible to HIV infection than other penile tissue in laboratory studies.... and so one

Just do what you have so your child can see a larger model as he grows. So, for me: cut.

Chosen 04-20-2011 10:55 AM

Do you really need GFY advice on that matter?

AAB 04-20-2011 10:58 AM

There has been no conclusive evidence that circumcision can help prevent HIV transmission, only speculations by those for whom circumcision is a multi billion dollars a year business. Would you really want to risk that your son ends up like David Reimer?

magicmike 04-20-2011 11:02 AM

No way.

its stupid.

where does it say you shouldn't use a condom? oh.. that would be nowhere... rejected...

its a barbaric ritual, just as barbaric as female circumcision there is ZERO difference...

digitalfantasies 04-20-2011 11:03 AM

Since the 1980s, scientists have suspected that male circumcision might reduce rates of HIV transmission during sex. They observed that circumcised men are less likely to have HIV than uncircumcised men, and HIV is less common among populations that traditionally practise male circumcision than in communities where the procedure is rare...

btw I am not circumcised myself...

That is due to your skin tearing. If your skin tears of course it will have a greater chance of HIV. that has nothing to do with the foreskin. Anyone with half a brain knows that grown males should be able to pull back their foreskin. It is no longer tightened.

Unless your parents are backwards and never taught you how to wash your cock.

If you for 2 seconds think an uncircumcised cock cant have the skin torn you're a complete idiot. It also takes longer for a circumcised cock to heal risking their female partners more.

The study you speak of was also done in Africa where many parts it is part of their CULTURE to be circumcised explaining why they found certain findings.

"dry external surface" my skin is not dry. To think dry skin surface may be riskier in tearing? no couldnt be! it has NOTHING to do with circumcision you're brainwashed and stupid.

condoms protect from aids, not cock scalpels...

partly true, meaning the skin / tissue of a uncircumcised cock is weaker than the skin / tissue of a circumcised cock, meaning less chance to get hiv... see.. even you get it ;-)

READ AND LEARN:

There are several possible reasons why circumcision has this effect. The foreskin creates a moist environment in which HIV can survive for longer in contact with the most delicate parts of the penis, and the inner surface of the foreskin contains cells that are especially vulnerable to infection by HIV.

No this is not true at all. The only thing i get is that this world is filled with backwards idiots with twisted facts to fit their agenda.

Put 2 and 2 together and you will see how stupid your "findings" are.

Did you read it? He had to be circumcised. The rest is crazy but the original decision was medical in nature, not a choice.

alias 04-20-2011 11:14 AM

From this thread and Google search for circumcision rates 2011, the current trend is toward uncut.

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ion+rates+2011

It is probably best for your child to do the same as his peers.

baddog 04-20-2011 11:17 AM

Did it before and would do it again.

mailman 04-20-2011 11:17 AM

some serious cock fight right here!

AWW - Kevin 04-20-2011 11:17 AM

wtf... do you guys think he asked because he wants to know which of the two has a 0.01% lesser chance getting HIV ?

imo don't do it, unless you think he's only going to shower 1/week, it's old fashioned and stupid.
less then 10% - 15% of western europe gets it done... there's a reason for that!

Yeah, uncut is for breeding only. :2 cents:

breeding only... hahahaha lol

CurrentlySober 04-20-2011 11:27 AM

I would absolutely have him done at birth, as I suffered from Phismosis (Tight Foreskin) and wish I had been done while I was to young to know what was happening...

I'm not saying that he would also have phismosis. Just that its something he would never need to worry about, if he were cut...
