Thats $72k a year, I know a number of families that live on this or less and are doing ok. But still, if I was guaranteed that, I would probably just walk away from current life and go somewhere where I can be by the beach and live cheap :thumbsup

Im heading to Spain to live on a motor cruiser while my business runs from the UK & online. My wife along side me, from 13yrs of love & laughter with my 3 lads growing up, either here in the UK, visiting regular, or over in Spain maybe in an apartment or villa. A loving relaxed life with good food, nice wine & lots of sun sea & sex :thumbsup

sounds like the perfect life right there. Ive tried to get my wife to move for awhile now. If we do it, we are going to wait until my son is finished with highschool in 3 years. Make the move for 10-15 years then come back and take care of both of our parents as they will be getting older.

When I was traveling across the USA, my buddies took home 3 big bugs packed with various clothes, iPads and other shit because it's all was very cheap there.

BTW, to live is not just to eat, to buy clothes and other shit, pay loans, visit pubs and restorations etc. Normal life includes other things like support of parents (yes, here in Russia we used to support our parents with money and we don't kick them to some nursing home like a useless junk), sport, traveling (personally I prefer to travel a few times a year) and so on...

Perhaps I would be able to afford almost all of it if I lived alone.

Sorry I was a wrong about the food expenses. Just specified the sum with my wife (she's our home "bookkeeper" :)), and she said we spend much less - something around $1400..$1700 a month. But still, it's not like a couple hundreds of bucks :)

Somewhat, but I'd never want to stop working. I like a mixture of both worlds. Have my home office where I live in the Western world. This is where I have ambition, goals, get screamed at, get huge thank yous, develop ideas, etc.

Then I walk out of my office downstairs, and it's a totally different world. Great loving family, who are totally oblivious to what I do but only know it has to do with a computer. Works great, because any stress I had throughout the day disappears within about 10 minutes of spending time with everyone.

Everyone should do what he likes to do the most, if that's what you like and you do it then I think that you are the winner.
