Terrible sales last 6-7 days?
 

Is it only me or have sales been VERY low the last 6-7 days?

I've had terrible sales all month long...August is always a pain in the ass for me.

You'll always have days / weeks when sales are down. Just keep plugging away.

It's looking like a record month for affiliate sales, but given that it's August I'm guessing for me this must be due to one of the Panda updates. My Google traffic has gone up this month

July was one of my all time best months, so I guess that is why I notice it so good.

As always, when times are not so good, I just work harder :winkwink: 6 new blogs out so far this week. No I need to add content for a few weeks ahead on them.

Was doing decent until about Aug11-12, then my sales got cut in half, and consistently staying there even until now :helpme

sale are down about 15% for me, but rebills are up by the same amount so imma not worry about it.

I'm ahead of where I was this time last month so things are looking good. Hang in there and switch things up if you can :thumbsup

Aug 12 was Panda update for international sites. Maybe you lost some very highly targeted keyword phrases and that made your sales suffer?

I'm wondering if the Trade Pulse hack is somehow not part of this.

Might be for some. I have checked my installs and I can´t see any signs of being hacked. As I understand, hacked sites get redirects.

My google got spiked up a LOT!!! 3 days ago I had my record high google traffic and overall porn sites traffic ever in my 10+ years as adult webmaster

I had the redirect hack and yeah it was very easy to spot as it was so outrageous it was crashing my browser. But what if the guy had done it a little more subtly? What if he or someone else had already been doing it subtly?

If it was really hacked well I doubt you would ever know. Would you really know if 50% of your USA traffic was being taken etc?

Anyways some scary stuff, and yeah it's probably not responsible for the sucking sales but it makes me wonder.

Well, I will think of this as just one of "those" periods and keep writing and working :) It happens every now and then. I just KNOW that in september/october all will be good again :)

Last two weeks of August are especially rough: Europeans on Holiday, half of Americans taking vacations, Labor Day looming, kids going back to college, the economy sucking ass, Stock Market tanking....all adds up to a shitty couple weeks. But things pick up in Sept-Oct so hang in there.

Yes, so I heard but I seriously can´t figure out HOW to get those sales!
I have 1 Mac blog, 1 coupon/review blog, and a few other "news" blogs. I know for a fact that I have readers on the both the Mac and coupon blogs, but they don´t buy anything. They click banners but no sales are made.

Yesterday was awesome for me. 

So thats why I lost my german google spot for teen sex.. damn you google!

August has always been a slow month. I've been doing this since 1999.

september will be better

a bad month here, i've seen something like a 40% drop in sales all month apart from one week where sales suddenly went back to normal, only lastd a week though :(

Charge backs are increasing with all sponsors year over year.

Traffic solid, sales slow.

Usually I do ok in August, but this month has completely gone into the crapper particularly the last couple of weeks.

Things'll pick up.

if you didnt work your ass of in august don't expect a huge change for sept. summers a good time to optimize, experiment with new gimmicks, and tighten up leaks

record sales, check your stats again
