The end of my time at twistys...
 

Today is a big day the end of my time at twistys, Shap is closing the doors on our old office and I am moving on, its a bitter sweet day for me and I find myself reminiscing about the last five years, all that has happened and changed, I think about my interview week (Yeah I had a full one week interview about 12 hours a day), about accepting the job and then having dinner at Gretzkys, moving to across the country (now twice), working twelve hours a day at the start and then all the sites and ideas we tried, built, walked away from.

It was an amazing run and in all honesty I am so proud of what we accomplished both professionally and personally. It seems when I look back that just so much has happened that I don?t think I can do it justice in a post instead I would just like to thank people.

I would like to thank Shap and Beth for the opportunity they provided me, the chance to just do whatever I wanted for five years was amazing to say the least. I couldn?t have imagined working with people I liked more thanks for being great people and friends. (Considering we never met or even really talked before you hired me I think it worked out pretty well don't you? ;))

I would really like to thank and wish the best of luck to everyone who worked for and with me. In all honesty working with all of you over the last five years really meant a lot to me. I know I have thanked most of you in person; however, I wanted you all to know again that you really meant a lot to me.

Sitting just now and thinking about the things I will miss and mostly I realized it?s the friendships, the personal connections with people and how I got to affect their lives and they in turn affected mine.

For the future I am not retiring like Shap instead for me now it?s a time to start on a new struggle, to take on something I feel is even more of a challenge than Shap?s insanity :helpme

Congrats, must be an odd day for sure.

I was told a few days ago that you just took over the reigns at the biggest hosting company there is. So congrats on that!

Shap is a genius you were lucky to have worked with him. From what I have heard you were also quite the brains, maybe the reason Shap was sooo successful. Don't think we ever met but I have heard amazing things from ALOT of people :) Good luck and hit me up, I am available for some new startups.

I hope you got a nice severance package. Letting employees go, for whatever reason (even for cause) is always the hardest thing for me to do.

I'm happy for you that you had a good run with some great experiences and memories. It sounds like you will have no problem with your next step in life. :)
