I dont make the decision to invade other countries although I have been on the invasion force before. I also dont judge what happens in other countries based on what is normal in my country, as I've been around the world enough to know that its just pointless to do that.

And if I could be stoned to death for doing something, I damn sure wouldnt be doing it.

The gassing of the Kurds was Saddam's Hiroshima. Not good, yet necessary to end a war that wasn't going to end otherwise.

They may have been "Saddam's own people" on paper, but they were allied with Iran. Those gas attacks and the threat by Saddam to put gas on missles and lob them into Iran is what ended the bloody Iraq-Iran war.

And for the record, just after the attacks the USA took sides with Saddam and placed blame upon Iran for the attacks just as we blame Japan for Hiroshima.

Anyone who blames Saddam for killing the Kurds must ask themselves why Harry Truman wasn't put to death for targeting Japanese civilians to end a war also.
