Designer Search Again - Weird Past Experience
 

Not sure who will remember, we recently (back at the start of the year) lost our regular designer to mainstream... this was the designer who rolled out great designs like www.StaceyRocks.com www.BratSluts.com www.CuntMunchers.com ect ect...

Not only did he do great designs, these sites cost us $400 a pop... so back in Jan/Feb this year we set about finding a designer who could create good designs whilst keeping it competative...

We had a few people approach us, one guy offering to do us a "test" design, with the condition if we liked it then we paid him, seemed like a no brainer ! We gave him a brief, the content for the design and a two week time frame...

Well it was a slightly weird experience in as much as created something we really liked, but it took over 3 months for him to complete ! EEK ! He kept feeding us bit by bit, but then disapearing... he even had a family behrevment which delayed things !

Then when the site was 90% finished and we asked for his payment details... he disapeared completely ! I just dont get it... It's a shame cause we really liked his work, it was on par with our past designer and he was again willing to work for the same rate (even though he was in the UK) but taking 3 months to finish a site was just not acceptable :Oh crap

So our search starts again... we need to get a new site done, we basically want a blonde tour done for www.princessrio.com now she's gone all blonde !

So designers feel free to show us your skills... please give me a link to your work, keep in mind we cant pay a fortune... yes I know we're cheap skates... can you do the style of work like our past designers, and can you do it in a prompt manner ?

I dont really see anything in the style we already have... if you think you have then please link it to me... looking through 25 pages was a little frustrating... if you have examples in the style we need let me know...

Thought we'd found a good replacement as in the guy who did www.PrincessBratty.com but now he's gone too... we're doomed !

good designers are gone. 10 years of making adult sites is dead tiring and boring.

We've had this discussion before, I really like your work, but I am only a small company and when it comes to costs every penny counts...

I understand that designers in places like the Philipinnes can be a lot more competative cause of their general cost of living... I know I might not get the whole expertese that you bring to the table... but if that's all we can afford then that's all we can afford... :Oh crap

Its a 2 page tour and join. The logos's are very simple. $600 would be my price. BUt there are far more deserving designers who REALLY need the work.

I have to agree with you. I used to use a few people from here for various projects, but over the last 4 to 5 years, the quality of designers here have drastically fallen. For example, everyone posting in this thread. I looked at the portfolios and half are very amateur, the other half are all the same style and nothing original or unique, and some are just ridiculous. The real creativity left this place.

Tables... Really?

If you don't need the work, why do you post in every design thread? Retard.

The customer.. SPunky. HAtes CSS. I was under specific instructions to use tables.

And I post in most design threads. Its what i do for a living. Its my interest. Its how i put food on my table. Even if im not after a gig/job... it serves to keep my name up there in peoples minds. Good or bad...

CSS And Tables... I am taking it "Tables" were old school, and "CSS" is the new sexy right ? I am taking it usually if you have a site done you really want it done in CSS right ?

You can use css with tables too .. the argue is between "tables" or "divs" ... if u use divs you can use newer css techniques (most people from here don't know shit about what i'm talking about - but love to trow words like css3 - html5 :)) )
